Beautiful landscapes, dark skies, fun hikes, AND a luxury cave hotel - what’s not to love?! @summitbigbend has over 1,000 acres of land for you to explore! There are 2 cave rooms, but you can also opt for glamping in one of the stargazing domes. Each dome has a clear top so you can enjoy the brightest stars you’ve ever seen from the comfort of your bed! We stayed in both and you really can’t go wrong. ✨🙌🌵 Video w/ @everchanginghorizon

Hands down the best place to catch a stunning Texas Hill Country sunset is from the top of Old Baldy in @visitwimberley . (Not to be confused with Old Baldy at Garner State Park) This hike takes you up 218 steps and let me tell you - nothing makes you feel out of shape like huffing and puffing up those stairs while some fitness crazies pass you jogging up and down those same stairs 4 times in the time it takes you to get up... But the views at the top are totally worth it - a 360-degree view of the entire area, and the most stunning sunsets ever. The two most popular trails to hike to the top of LA’s tallest mountain are the Baldy Bowl (Ski Hut) Trail and the Devils Backbone (pictured here). Personally, I prefer hiking up the ski hut trail as it’s a better workout — it’s almost 4 miles with almost 4k ft of elevation gain one way so it’s a good training hike too. But coming down the devils backbone trail is quite nice and frankly, it’s much easier on the knees.🥾 What’s your favorite trail to hike up Mt. Baldy?⛰️ Looking for an epic adventure to end the year? Have you been to Enchanted Rock? 📍This is the most visited park in Texas and it is located in Fredericksburg. 🥾At the park you can hike, backpack, camp, rock climb, picnic, or just enjoy being in the presence of nature. There are 11 miles of hiking trails here including the iconic Summit Trail. This hike takes you to the top of the massive granite dome and gives you amazing views so I highly recommend it. 🗺️Be sure to plan a trip here by making reservations ahead of time because the park fills up on weekends. Welch Spring and old hospital ruins, located near Akers and along the Current River, is a very easy find. At under ½ mile each way, it’s a very easy (and flat!) hike too. The Spring discharges over 78 million gallons of crystal-clear water on an average day. Built over 100 years ago but abandoned in the 1940’s, the old hospital ruins here are still very much intact. Patients here were treated for tuberculosis (among other things) due to the believed healing properties in the water. Nearby, Akers Ferry is an interesting stop along the way, as is a quick photo-stop to capture the outstanding view at Devils Backbone as you drive State HWY K. Now disused due to a lack of funding to repair the ferry, there is plenty of history behind it. #spring #currentriver #welchspring #history #ozarknationalscenicriverways #missouri #wow #hiddengems #amazingplaces
