High-dose creatine has become one of my go-to strategies for combatting mental fatigue if I’m sleep-deprived or stressed. There’s research to support this effect. Taking a single high dose (25–30g) of creatine reverses the cognitive impairment caused by total sleep deprivation—in fact, it actually boosts brain function beyond rested levels. The mechanism involves creatine quickly raising brain energy stores to power neurons under extreme stress, supporting efficient brain energy metabolism. While I take 10 grams of creatine every day, I up my dose to 20 grams when I’m under-slept or jet-lagged. This 2024 study put that idea to the test Participants took a large dose (~20g) of either Creatine or Placebo, stayed up until 4am, and took a series of cognitive tests throughout the night And as the night went on, the Placebo Group’s performance collapsed Their memory became 18% worse, their reaction time was 6% slower, and their language processing speed was down 17% as well Their brains were literally running out of fuel, which you can see in the brain scans from the study The Creatine Group though – not only did their scores not decline, they actually outscored their own baseline metrics Their language processing speed was 10% faster, their logic test score was 13% better, and their numeric processing speed was 18% faster as well – and this was all after staying up the entire night And this 24.5% headline number came from this Numeric Processing Test at the 3.5 hour mark Which did average out to about 18% by the end of the night Two big takeaways: -1). At higher doses, creatine can improve cognitive performance in just hours -2). When sleep deprived, creatine can actually elevate performance above our own baseline of well-rested output Now our company sells creatine gummies, but you certainly don’t need to be taking it in a gummy in order to experience the positive benefits The cheapest way to take it is always going to be an unflavored powder Just look for Creatine Monohydrate, it’s widely regarded as the most effective form of creatine

This could eliminate concussions forever… Creatine is getting more popular for its brain benefits..but have you ever heard of creatine being used to prevent concussions??… Some research now shows that creatine might have a role to play in reducing the risk and severity of concussions as well as helping recovery by acting as an alternative fuel source for the brain and helping decrease inflammation after the head injury occurs… Animal studies showed up to a 50% reduction in brain damage when large doses of creatine were taken before inflicting concussions… Research points to large doses being needed in order to fully saturate the body and allow the creatine to cross the blood brain barrier (which stops most things from getting to the brain)….most studies use around 0.2-0.4 g/kg for several days leading up to the head contact… This is still definitely in its early stages and needs way more research before we can draw any definitive conclusions but it’s worth paying attention to!!
