Follow @roamingwithtk for more outdoor adventure/national park tips, itineraries and bucket list activities! 📌 If you’re planning on visiting the Dolomites this summer, SAVE this post to help you remember this information! 1️⃣ Tre Cime Di Lavaredo/Cadini Di Misurina •You must have an advanced parking reservation to visit •check the Auronzo.info website for more information about when reservations will be available 2️⃣ Lago Di Braies •Requires advanced parking reservation •Visit prags.bz for more information 3️⃣ Alpe Di Siusi •Private/personal cars are banned from driving this road between 9am-5pm unless you are staying at an accommodation located here. •Opt for the cable car! 4️⃣ Cinque Torre •No reservation required, but the lift is the only access for most visitors and it sells out on peak days 5️⃣ Rifugios •All overnight stays in the mountain huts, or rifugios, require an advanced reservation 💬 Are there any other popular spots worth mentioning that we are missing?! 🥾 Share with the person planning your bucket list trip to the Dolomites!!

You can rent a rowboat for a unique perspective or take the short loop trail around the lake for breathtaking views. 🌈 Lago di Carezza – This lake is small but incredibly scenic, with crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding mountains. A short loop trail makes it accessible for all visitors—no hiking required! 🥾 Lago di Sorapis – The hardest to reach but arguably the most rewarding! If you do one hike in the Dolomites, make sure it’s this one 🏔️😍 📍Cadini Di Misurina Here is everything you need to know👇 📌Parking: Park at Rifugio Auronzo (paid parking and requires a reservation) From the lot it’s an easy marked trail 🥾Hike stats- 2.5 mi round trip 700 ft elevation gain ~1.5-2 hrs with photos Rated: Easy 📸There’s a short path that leads you to the main view, and there is usually a line of people waiting for this shot! We went at sunset and the line wasn’t too long Would you go to Italy to do this hike!? #dolomites #bucketlisttravel #mountainviews #hiking

🥾 You can do this too!! I daydream about my time on the Alta Via 1, a legendary hut to hut trek in the Dolomites. Walking through dramatic limestone peaks, sleeping in cozy mountain huts each night, eating warm home cooked meals, and waking up every day with one simple job: walk and play outside. No camping ⛺️ No hauling a heavy pack. Just moving slowly through some of the most unreal scenery I’ve ever seen 🥹 Sunrises above the clouds. Family style dinners. Cold beers. And yes… descending through World War I tunnels carved into the mountain. I think a lot of us are craving this kind of simplicity without even realizing it. Slow travel. Meaningful adventure. Time in nature. We weren’t expecting this in the Dolomites… 🏔️ We thought you had to be an experienced hiker to visit the Dolomites… we were so wrong! 🥾 Myth busting 101 👊 👆🏻SAVE this if you’re not an experienced hiker We weren’t expecting THIS level of scenery with hikes that are actually doable if you enjoy the outdoors but aren’t a hardcore hiker 🏔️ 📍 Lago di Braies An easy walk around the lake (around 2/10 difficulty). Flat, well-maintained paths and unreal views the whole way. Really close by to the car park too! 😍 📍 Cadini di Misurina A short out and back hike with huge payoff. About 45–60 minutes return for one of the most iconic viewpoints! A fairly large include to conquer at first but from there it’s pretty simple 😀 📍 Lago di Sorapis A bit more challenging, but still manageable with patience and breaks and 100% worth it for that turquoise water 🤩 Disclaimer: This one isn’t the best one if you have a fear of heights! 📍 Tre Cime di Lavaredo Loop Iconic, plenty of rest stops, and you don’t even have to do the full loop! Especially stunning at sunset! The Dolomites are a perfect beginner adventure destination if you love the outdoors and epic views, without needing specialist skills. Yes, there are harder hikes for experienced mountaineers… 🧗 but there is still so much to see without doing those! SAVE this post!
