1DLife feels overwhelming sometimes.
I’ve learned over the last year that bearing the weight of one’s family can be isolating.
I do not want to burden my friends or family with my problems, my weight, my heaviness.
We all carry weight.
I don’t come here on ig to express all my thoughts, emotions or feelings.
Today, you’ll see and hear what I’m feeling right now, …
We all suffer, we are all humans.
Meanwhile, I woke up with a leak.
Like a car, my fluid was leaking, so, I decided to share it with you.
Sometimes sharing and leaking burdens lightens the loads.
when I made this, I was feeling so isolated. Isolation is a part of sadness, grief, heartbreak,
My go-to human is my daughter, Braunwyn ,she’s been through so much pain and stress these last 3 years, and I’ve been there for her, helping her heal, and now, she’s there for me, even when she’s in a funk, I feel safe and grounded with her wisdom.
I dont feel like I’m bothering her.
I may open up to comments, so you can express whatever it is you’re experiencing.
I have a notion that the world has a certain amount of pain at one time, and each one of us has to feel and carry some of that pain at some point, balancing the pain one person has to feel, we share it as it moves in and out, from one to another.
Today, I took a piece of that crushing,collective pain, hopefully easing someone else’s.
I know the pain will come around again.
I’m up, I’m tending to the business of living today, we can’t run away or hide, but I want too.

Overwhelmed with feelings.
an empath, I feel everything.
Their families joy, the PTSD to heal, if they ever can.
When I went through the 6 month MDMA therapy course, the pioneers of the treatment were Israeli, my teachers were Israeli, the patients were mostly IDF soldiers, like in America- our military suffer an inordinate and unimaginable amount of trauma .
Why do the Jews suffer from severe trauma?
Because Jews and Israeli Jews have deep, centuries old, persecution against them.
As a people and nation, there is massive collective PTSD. when I went to Israel, i learned from the people, both Arab and Jews, the anxiety incurred as a nation, ..the pain.
It’s a lineage of being colonized, lied about, abused, falsely accused, gas lighted, Gino sided, expelled from all Arab countries, Poland, Russia, pogroms, rounded up, marked with stars, refused entry to neighbors here in America, we have countryclubs in desert that didn’t allow Jews, that’s why frank sinatra started his own club,so his Jewish friends could belong, sent to gas chambers, starved, then rising up to become the most technological, productive democratic state in Middle East, it’s awe inspiring.
The perseverance of these folks.
Being on the right side of history, not being victim to lies and false narratives has changed my mind, I’ve now opened my mind.
To all those who fell victim to the insidious lies taught in colleges across the America and the west, where Israel wasn’t even discussed as a middle eastern country in Middle East classes( inherent bias), my friends son took the class at Yale, where the Quran was taught, but not Torah .
Where facts and history are not presented, where a pro-ter/:orist is hired at Columbia to teach “ Zionism”, one needs critical thinking skills to see through the lies and bias,and guess what?critical thinking skills aren’t taught. figure it out for yourself. Dont follow the pack,the media lies, governments do too, colleges do-especially when large donations include stipulations about who schools can hire .
Question everything, thank you god, Jesus, Mother Nature, ganga ma, tears of joy, relief.#drdeb

1DIt took years for his beautiful heart to fully open.
He was 19 when we met, both of us products of dysfunctional, broken homes.
At 50, I could no longer fit into the ever constricting cocoon of the matrix, my butterfly needed to spread her wings, and gloriously fly free, to expand into my best, most authentic, accepting, badass Self.
It required my partner to rise with me.
We don’t all enter into adulthood as fully formed, aware humans.
Especially when there’s issues and healing to be done.
Through deep, sometimes painful, and scary work, I was able to break through the illusions.
Trusting the process.
Changing my core DNA, the way I respond and react, learning to understand why I behaved the way I did, the emotions that held sway, to step back and observe myself in curiosity.
A old native saying“ a woman leads her man to spirit, a man protects and supports her as she does”, (feel free to use the gender that feels right for you.)
What this means is that we have duties within relationships.
Mine was guiding my partner to spirit and to teach him to support and protect me.
Although my job is done, our duties are not.
This saying is a guide for me.
A principle which resonates.
If you’re confused in your relationship, get therapy, not just the 50 min a week talking stuff, but, the sacred sacrament ceremonies, the scary stuff, where fear is faced, and dissolves like salt in water-the wicked witch in wizard of Oz,
The “scary” part is not real fear, it’s reverence, for plants that are alive with intelligence.
And who gift us their secrets and wisdom, if we can overcome our indoctrinated fear of them.do the research, change our minds, reset our neurochemistry, become aware of our emotions and responses.
If the work doesn’t make you nervous, it probably won’t make a difference.
Suffering propels us to healing. Alcohol, drugs, pharmaceuticals, talk, only scratch the surface or dull the pain.
To get to the core, to blow the roof off the dark basement,we have to undergo demolition.

Bringing g yourself into the present moment helps with the dread, anxiety and sadness that can accompany being caregiver to a loved one with Cancer.

Being in awareness of our thoughts, feelings, emotions.
Prayer works, especially for the person praying,god is within, I know bc she came to me and told me two things.
1-your channels are open, very important to keep those chakras clear from earth to sky
2-dispel the doubts, meaning have no doubts, meaning trust the process, trust yourself, trust your intuition.
This is a long one, good luck with your attention span!

1DHi, I’m mama deb.
I’ve had a long big life.
Nothing little about it.
messy, simple, complicated, easy, hard, graceful, graceless, beautiful, saying yes has been a blessing, so has learning to ask.
From my traipsing in the woods of Mississippi, nearly drowning in the creek, to college at 16, theatre major at university of southern Mississippi, living on a sailboat in azores in 71-72, Delaware barefoot boogie boarder , pregnant, clamming in the bay for 25 $ a day, and baking bread . The 80s brought rock singer in Hollywood, house band at whisky, then studying at UCI , meeting my life long partner, Accepted to UCLA med school, residency at harbor county , seal beach family practice with two more babies , then desert rat, raising kids, building a business, community and a home, grandkids, burning man principles, still here, working, in service, loving, making it all work, taking care of others, matriarch of a big family.
Can’t say I haven’t done it all. I have done enough., and it just keeps coming.
These photos helped me to stop, reflect and remember so many small, yet, important moments.
We will never pass this way again.
Thanks for being on my journey.
