When my client explained how she realistically wanted her locs to look, I realized sometimes it's better to just start over. Locs can be combed out with the right product (Release from @gardenofeproducts ) and patience. When I asked her if she wanted to comb them out, I didn't think she was going to say yes because she had her locs for 2 years already so I was shocked we did this. This was my first time combing out locs and it wasn't bad. I always see people on the internet taking days - week to complete it so I was a bit nervous. In only 5 hours we got a lot done so I was pleased. We will be restarting Skys loc journey in a few weeks, stay tuned #laloctician #caliloctican #riversideloctician #loccombout #losangelesloctician

Product Buildup – Heavy creams, waxes, and gels can accumulate inside the locs, making them feel dense or stiff. This is why lightweight, residue-free products are recommended. 3. Lint & Debris – Fabrics, pillowcases, and even the air can introduce tiny particles that get caught in locs, especially if they aren’t covered at night. 4. Compressed Hair – As locs mature, the hair tightens and compacts, which can make the middle feel different from the outside. 5. Trapped Moisture – If locs aren’t dried properly after washing, moisture can get trapped inside, leading to mildew or buildup.
