Okay first… I didn’t suddenly become a topper overnight 😌 I was just tired of staring at the same book for 3 hours and still feeling guilty. So I changed the way I study. Instead of reading everything line by line like a “perfect student” 🥲 I started reading like a “smart student” 🧠✨ I gave each chapter 10 minutes ⏱️ Timer on. Phone away. Airplane mode. No excuses. 🚫📱 In those 10 minutes I only: Read headings 📝 Understood the main idea 💡 Checked diagrams & flowcharts 📊 Noticed important terms ⭐ Looked at PYQs 👀 That’s it. No over-highlighting 🎨 No re-reading the same line 5 times 😭 No trying to be perfect. After 10 minutes, I closed the book and asked myself: “Okay… what was this chapter actually about?” 🤔 If I could explain it in simple words — done ✅ If not — 2-minute quick revision 🔁 And then I moved on. Here’s the honest truth 💭 You can’t memorize 5 chapters in one hour. But you can: ✔ Remove the fear ✔ Understand the basics ✔ Build a strong base for revision And sometimes… that’s the real win 🥹✨ Because once fear is gone, studying feels lighter. Starting is the hardest part. 2. Use the 25-minute rule Study 25 minutes, break 5 minutes (Pomodoro style). It feels short → less resistance → more consistency. 3. Study the exam, not the subject Focus only on: • Past exams • Practice questions • Teacher’s hints Skip anything unlikely to be tested. 4. Active recall > rereading Instead of rereading notes: Close them and ask yourself questions Write what you remember It feels harder but saves tons of time. 5. Teach an imaginary person Explain the topic out loud like you’re teaching a child. If you get stuck, that’s what you need to review. 6. How to study 12 hours daily as a lazy student 12 hrs study is not easy but I’m giving you a routine that will change your life. 8:00am : wake up 8:00 to 9:00 : shower + exercise + breakfast 9:00 to 12:00 : study 1 12:00 to 2:00 : lunch and nap 2:00 to 6:00 : study 2 6:00 to 8:00 : scroll, friends, evening walk, dinner 8:00 to 11:00 : study 3 11:00 to 11:30 : break 11:30 to 1:30 : study 4 1:45 : sleep This routine is best for lazy students because there is 2 hrs of break in every study session. Tips: 1. When you start your study session, make sure you completely avoid cozy areas and your mobile phones. 2. Natural light is very important, so try to study in natural light. 3. When you take 2 hrs of break, you can sleep for some time to relax your mind. 4. You can also take a break for 2 to 5 minutes in between study sessions. 5. 5 easy ways to actually enjoy studying (as much as you can haha) Change your environment → I stopped forcing myself to study in my room and started going to cafes, libraries, or even just different spots around campus. A fresh environment helps with your mindset + productivity so much more than you might think:) Make it social → Study dates with friends are always such a fun idea/try and go to the library with friends! Even if you’re working on different things, having company makes it so much more enjoyable (and you’re less likely to give up). Reward system → After every study session I do something nice for myself – grab a coffee, watch an episode, go for a walk. Having something to look forward to makes starting so much easier + rewards your brain after working hard so then you will be more likely to want to study the next time:) Good music/ambience → having good music that helps you lock in makes such a difference!! I love noise-cancelling headphones too. Start with the interesting stuff → Instead of forcing myself through boring readings first, I start with topics I’m actually curious about. It gets me in the mood and builds momentum for the harder stuff.
