BRIf you don’t want crispy edges and want the white to be completely soft and fluffy all around, follow this below:
# 1. Start Low & Slow
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add a small pat of butter or a drizzle of olive oil and let it melt without browning.
2. Crack, Salt & Cover
Gently crack your egg into the pan. Don’t move it. Salt tot to your desired. Add a tiny splash of water (like a teaspoon) around the edge and immediately cover the pan with a lid. This traps steam and cooks the whites through without flipping.
3. Watch Closely, Remove Early
After about 1.5–2.5 minutes, when the whites are just set but the yolk still jiggles when you nudge the pan—remove it from the heat. Let it sit covered for 10 more seconds if needed, then slide it out gently.
But if you prefer the crispy edges, like I do, follow the steps in the video! Yum guaranteed every time! Especially over some white jasmine rice! Yes, Lord!
