Endometriosis pain isn’t just “bad cramps.”
For many women, it’s sharp, exhausting, unpredictable — and it can take over your life every month. If heat helps, clots are present, and the pain feels fixed in one spot, this often points to poor pelvic circulation: what Chinese medicine calls Blood Stasis. Small daily habits can either support circulation… or work against it. Cold foods, iced drinks, and smoothies may seem harmless, but for some women they can worsen pain, especially around the menstrual cycle. Warm, nourishing foods and drinks tend to be gentler on the body and may help symptoms feel more manageable. You don’t have to just “push through” every month. And more than the looks… it’s how I FEEL. If you have endo, you are no stranger to chronic pain… and it’s not dull pain. It’s ridiculously painful pain that idk how to even describe. I genuinely don’t feel there are words that do its justice. But lovely enough, endo isn’t just pain either…. It’s - debilitating fatigue - constant bloating - bladder incontinence - painful bowel movements - the terrifying unknown of what this disease is going to do to your fertility - planning life around your cycle because you’re quite literally down and out - ER trips & more doctor appointments when you can’t take the pain anymore just to be met with 0 answers other than BC, get pregnant, or get a hysterectomy - brain fog that never seems to lift - constantly feeling puffy - increased risk, if not other autoimmune diseases already forming Endometriosis isn’t a reproductive disease… it’s a systemic disease and it affects the WHOLE body. I just want you to know that if you’re in the trenches of endo, I SEE you. There is hope. But you probably won’t be finding that hop in a traditional doctors office… trust me. After 16 years of western medicine approaches, the ONLY relief I’ve found has been with a functional approach. Not just a functional doc. With a whole functional TEAM. Endo is a chronic inflammatory condition, which means what you do and how you support your body day to day matters! Lifestyle factors such as: - Stress management - Boundaries - Nervous system regulation - Nutrition - Movement - Sleep - Recovery All have a huge impact on symptoms!
