Isso é o que permite que seu celular carregue via indução (sem fios) ou que o fogão de indução aqueça apenas a panela através de ondas magnéticas, mantendo a superfície do fogão fria ao toque.
Invenções Revolucionárias
Faraday não parou na teoria; ele criou dispositivos práticos que mudaram o mundo:
O Primeiro Motor Elétrico: Ele descobriu como converter energia elétrica em movimento mecânico contínuo. Sem isso, não teríamos ventiladores, eletrodomésticos ou carros elétricos.
O Gerador (Dínamo): Ao fazer o processo inverso, ele mostrou como criar eletricidade a partir do movimento. Quase toda a energia que consumimos hoje (seja de hidrelétricas, eólicas ou térmicas) depende desse princípio.
Gaiola de Faraday: Ele descobriu que o campo elétrico no interior de um condutor carregado é zero. É por isso que você está seguro dentro de um carro ou avião durante uma tempestade de raios — a eletricidade flui pela "casca" externa e não atinge o interior.
O Lado Humano e a Fé
Como o vídeo destacou, Faraday era um homem de princípios rígidos. Ele pertencia a uma seita cristã chamada Sandemanianismo, que pregava a humildade absoluta e a vida comunitária.
Ele recusou o título de "Sir" (cavaleiro) oferecido pela coroa britânica e também se recusou a ajudar o governo a desenvolver armas químicas para a Guerra da Crimeia, alegando motivos éticos e religiosos. Para ele, a ciência era uma forma de ler o "livro da natureza" escrito pelo Criador.

Electromagnetic induction happens when a magnet moves near a wire coil. This movement changes the magnetic field passing through the loops. The shifting field pushes the electrons in the metal, generating an electromotive force that drives an electric current through the circuit. The amount of electricity produced depends on the number of loops in the coil and the speed of the magnet's movement. If the motion stops, the current stops as well. Essentially, this process turns mechanical motion into electrical energy. It is the basis for power generators and many modern electronics.

And yet, he kept going.
He discovered electromagnetic induction, the foundation of electric motors, generators, and modern electricity. The power running through your phone, your home, your city — it traces back to his work. He gave humanity light, motion, and energy.
But life didn’t reward him with comfort.
In his later years, Faraday suffered from severe memory loss and mental exhaustion. The man who gave electricity to the world slowly began to forget his own discoveries. He never became rich. He refused knighthood. He refused power. He chose truth over recognition.
That’s the real pain —
Not failure.
Not poverty.
But giving everything to the world and asking for nothing in return.
Michael Faraday’s life teaches us this:
Greatness doesn’t come from privilege.
It comes from curiosity, persistence, and quiet sacrifice.

I’ve personally heard of similar things (like for wallets) but never knew what it was called. 👩🏻💻
Faraday boxes for car keys are used to obstruct signals & make it more difficult to clone fobs from outside your house/building.
Somehow our signals are able to be duplicated so thieves can just walk up to your car and drive away with it. Scary right? 😐
I believe most of us keep our car keys by our doors so this is just an extra precaution we decided to take. 🚙
There’s no extra steps, we just place our keys in this box when not in use. 🤫
