UNDERSTAND ANYTHING. The Feynman technique involves the process of simplifying and explaining complex concepts as if you were teaching a fifth grader. Here are some reasons why this technique is so effective: 1. Deepens understanding: Explaining a concept in simple terms requires you to properly comprehend the information yourself. You gain a better understanding of the idea by breaking it down into its fundamental components and connecting them logically. 2. Identifies knowledge gaps: Verbally explaining an idea typically reveals gaps where you lack sufficient comprehension. If you have trouble articulating an idea or simplifying it, you can discover holes in your knowledge and target them for future study. 3. Requires active recall: Actively retrieving the information without referring to notes as you explain the subject promotes memory and long-term retention. Many studies show that the retrieval practice is more effective for long term learning than encoding! 4. Promotes critical thinking: When complicated topics are simplified, you are forced to think critically about the underlying principles, connections, and applications. Beyond surface-level memorization, higher-level thinking provides a deeper comprehension of the concept. 5. Improves communication skills: The technique helps you explain your thoughts more clearly and effectively. By practicing the ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms, you improve your communication abilities, which can be useful in a variety of academic and professional settings. 6. Increases confidence: Successfully articulating complicated topics in simple terms can increase your confidence and self-assurance in your knowledge of the content. The technique provides visible evidence of your expertise which further reinforces learning. #philly #pennsylvania #universitycity

Read caption!! In 10th grade, I was burned out—low motivation, bad grades, and zero focus. I’d spend hours “studying,” but nothing stuck. Then I came across the Feynman Technique, and it completely flipped how I learned. By 12th grade, I was studying just 1 hour a day and getting straight A’s. Here’s exactly how I used it: 1. Pick one concept at a time.
Don’t try to cover everything. Choose a single topic and focus on understanding it deeply. 2. Explain it out loud in simple language.
Pretend you’re teaching a 12-year-old. No notes, no jargon—just plain words. This forces your brain to organize the information clearly. 3. Find the gaps.
When you get stuck or can’t explain something smoothly, that’s where your real learning starts. Go back to your notes or textbook and fill in the blanks. 4. Simplify and repeat.
Keep refining your explanation until it sounds effortless. The simpler you can make it, the better you understand it. 5. Test yourself later.
Come back the next day and try explaining it again—without looking. If it still makes sense, you’ve mastered it. Once I started using this method, I didn’t need marathon study sessions. One focused hour with the Feynman Technique was more effective than three hours of rereading notes. If you’re stuck, stop memorizing—start explaining. It’ll change everything. What's your most difficult subject? Read pin comments to find for each subject ( physics, maths , bio already dropped) You can effectively use the Feynman Technique to study a hard subject by following these steps: 1.Choose the Subject: Select the specific topic or concept within the hard subject that you want to study. 2.Teach It Simply: Pretend you're teaching this topic to a child or someone with no prior knowledge of the subject. Explain it in the simplest terms using everyday language. 3.Use Analogies: Employ analogies to relate the complex concept to something familiar. Analogies make it easier to understand and remember. 4.Identify Gaps in Your Knowledge: As you explain, you might encounter parts of the topic that you struggle to simplify or clarify. These are the gaps in your understanding. 5.Go Back to the Source: Return to your study materials, such as textbooks, notes, or online resources, to research and fill in the gaps in your knowledge. 6.Simplify Further: Once you've gained a deeper understanding of the difficult subject, go back and refine your explanation. Make it even simpler and clearer. 7.Repeat and Review: Continue this process, repeating steps 2 to 6, until you can explain the entire subject confidently and in plain language. 8.Teach Someone Else: If possible, teach what you've learned to a friend, family member, or study group. Teaching someone else reinforces your understanding. The Feynman Technique is a powerful method to not only understand hard subjects but also to remember and explain them effectively. It highlights gaps in your knowledge and ensures you have a deep, simplified understanding of the topic. #technique #feynman #study #explorepage #trending

How to LEARN anything FAST👇🏽🧠💯 Use my 4 neuroscience-backed techniques to learn anything 10X faster than everyone else thinks possible! 🚀 These are the exact methods I’ve taught to over 50,000 students as the world’s leading Smart Skills coach 🧠 🔑 The Feynman Technique Nobel Prize winner’s secret: If you can’t teach it simply, you haven’t learned it properly. Transform confusion into mastery: 1️⃣ Learn something new and close all materials. 2️⃣ Explain it like you’re teaching a child. 3️⃣ Stumbling? That’s where you need to focus! 🔥 MIT research shows this technique accelerates learning by 50%! It forces your brain to reorganize information for permanent storage. 🔑 Interleaving STOP marathon study sessions. Your brain craves variety to build connections. The neuroscience approach: ✅ Switch subjects every 25-30 minutes ✅ Mix easy and hard topics ✅ Rotate between different skills 📊 Studies prove interleaving increases learning speed by 43% and retention by 60%! 🔑 Spaced Repetition Forget cramming. Space out your learning for superhuman memory. The optimal schedule: 1️⃣ Learn it today, review tomorrow. 2️⃣ Review again in 3 days, then 1 week. 3️⃣ Final review at 1 month = locked forever! 🧩 Harvard research confirms spaced learning creates 200% stronger memories than massed practice! 🔑 Active Recall Reading notes 10 times? Waste of time. Testing yourself once beats passive review every time. Power up your memory: ✅ Close books and write what you know ✅ Use flashcards or practice problems ✅ Test yourself BEFORE you feel ready ⚡ Science shows Active Recall produces 150% better results than highlighting or re-reading! I taught these to James who thought he was a “slow learner” struggling in every subject. 6 weeks later, he learned Python, aced his chemistry exam, AND picked up Spanish basics! 📖 Stop learning the slow way. COMMENT “GUIDE” to master these brain hacks with my FREE 31-page guide to score straight A’s while studying less! #academiccomeback #studygram #learning #studytip #studywithme

This technique was created by Richard Feynman, a Nobel Prize winning physicist who believed that if you cannot explain something simply, you do not actually understand it. He noticed people hide behind jargon to cover up shallow understanding. Most students do this during exams. The Feynman Technique has four steps that force true understanding instead of just memorizing definitions. Step one: Pick a topic and study it. Write everything you know on a blank page. Read your textbook and keep adding as you learn. Step two: Explain that topic as if you’re teaching a five year old. Use the simplest words possible. No jargon, no textbook language, just plain clear language anyone could follow. John Sweller’s research shows that forcing yourself to simplify tests whether you truly understand the concept or just recognize vocabulary. Step three: Be honest with yourself. Look at every point where you got stuck, every moment where you wanted to use a fancy word. Those are exact gaps in your understanding. Go back and fill those gaps. This is where real learning happens. Step four: Organize your simple explanation into a clean narrative. Read it out loud. If it flows naturally and makes sense to someone with zero background knowledge, you now own that topic. When you walk into your exam with this level of understanding, writing answers becomes easy because you’re not trying to remember words. You genuinely understand and can explain it any way the question asks. Follow for Day 11 🚀

These are legit the BEST ways to learn ✅🧠👩🏽‍🎓💯 - THE METHODS: 1️⃣ Feynman Technique - learn the content, then teach it to someone who is unfamiliar with the topic (e.g. a child). Even better if you create a presentation & use analogies/diagrams/examples.This will highlight the areas you don’t fully understand, which you can go back to work on, and retry teaching until perfect 👩🏽‍🏫 . 2️⃣ SQ3R - to actively engage with anything you read use the following steps: Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review. Creating your own questions that you then answer when reading through the text makes it more engaging and memorable📕 . 3️⃣ Spaced Repetition - review content at regular, increasing intervals to help commit to long-term memory. For example: —> when you get home from school —> again that weekend —> the weekend after —> in a fortnight —> in a month —> in 3 months 📅 . 4️⃣ Loci Method - envision a common route or room, and make a list of all the objects you pass. Try to relate each object to a piece of content you have to memorise (e.g. your door handle is circular, like the shape of a ribosome, which produces protein for the cell). During your exam, walk through the route/room in your mind to bring back the information 🧠 - #studytips #studyhacks #studygram #studyskills #homeworkhelp #straightastudent #studentlife #students #student #studentproblems #school

“This trick saved me during exams.”Read this carefully 👇 1️⃣ Preview Trick (2-Minute Rule) Before reading full chapter: • read headings • see diagrams • check summary 👉 Brain already knows the map → learning becomes faster. ⸻ 2️⃣ Feynman Technique (Best Hack) After studying, explain topic like teaching a 5-year-old. If you can’t explain → you don’t understand yet. 3️⃣ Active Recall > Re-Reading Close book. Ask yourself questions. Write answers from memory. 👉 This doubles retention. ⸻ 4️⃣ Pomodoro Power Method Study 25 min → break 5 min → repeat. Brain stays fresh and focused. ⸻ 5️⃣ Keyword Memory Trick Instead of memorizing full paragraph: ➡️ learn only keywords ➡️ build sentence from them Example: Photosynthesis → sunlight + CO₂ + water → glucose + oxygen ⸻ 6️⃣ Teach Someone Trick Teach friend / mirror / imaginary class. Teaching = fastest learning method.
