Foo at Phoenix Palladium is our fourth Foo, but this one came with a twist. The brand is rebranding completely, which meant new colours, new logo, new look. Same designer, totally different vibe. Here’s a little glimpse into what we did with the space: -The entryway is designed with their signature arch but in a fresh new blue instead of the older red. It’s the same shape you might’ve seen in Foo Pune or Foo Hyderabad, but reimagined to match the new branding. -The booths were built with Phoenix shoppers in mind. They’re perfect for slipping into with all your bags and kids and just relaxing. We also kept the passages super wide and used bench seating so there’s never any chaos during service. - You’ll spot pops of the new branding colours all through the space. Bright orange, pink, a soft blue in the cutlery. But we balanced it out by keeping the main space calmer so nothing feels too loud. Even the art on the walls ties back to their Instagram and menus so it all feels like one brand. - The bar area has more of a high energy feel. You’ll see tall tables for quick meals, and a beautiful roof detail inspired by traditional Chinese architecture. That fabric on top is a blue linen pasted directly onto plywood. It adds this soft rich texture that looks even better at night. - There’s also a gorgeous jellyfish-like installation that stretches across the bar ceiling. And right at the back, a hidden corner that turns into a private dining room when needed. - We also pulled in Asian and Japanese influences across the space. The lighting, the installation, the layout, even some of the materials used were chosen to reflect the cuisines Foo serves. This project was such a fun challenge. We got to push the brand in a new direction but still keep some old memories intact. Tell us what you think of the new Foo and whether you’ve visited yet.
