It’s a sleeveless bodice, gathered tiered dress and it comes with pockets!! The size range is A-L (bust: 79cm-134cm / hips: 88cm-143cm) and it has lots of ease built in! I’ve seen it be styled for summer by lots of sewists, but I think with a merino top underneath or a big jumper it would also work great for colder weather. It would also be a great pattern to hack if you wanted to turn it into a top, or remove the bodice part and add an elastic waistband to make it a skirt ✨ 💌 To get this free sewing pattern, you can go to the @peppermintmagazine website and search for the Bardon dress OR you can comment ‘BARDON’ on this post and I’ll dm you the link. 🚨PLEASE NOTE: if you want me to dm you the link PLEASE make sure you’re following me first. Her pinafore dress is one of the projects I’m really looking forward to sewing very soon. this is a super easy self-drafted pattern, so well explained and so quick to make! you’ll only need your bust measurements, elastic thread for shirring, and make sure to double check your desired length for the shoulder straps. It’s a mid weight at 6 oz, so it has just enough heft to it for visible structure which makes these pants. The latter is what I needed to recreate the look I was aiming for. If the fabric had too much drape, we would miss out on this amazing shape. I used a free sewing pattern. I will show you how to hack these striped pants from it in the next video!
