The restaurant is open during the daytime too serving cafe options like sandwiches, fruit sandwiches, açaí bowls, and smoothies. I really liked the appetizers we tried - crispy corn and maitake tempura. the "BEST ramen in New York" just added a twist... ___ If you're obsessed with ramen, you've probably already heard or even tried Ippudo (@ippudo ), the famed Japanese ramen chain that many have praised as the "Best ramen in New York". Ippudo just opened a new plant-based restaurant in Brooklyn called ippudo V. It features plant-based ramen & sushi among other plant-based appetizers and sides. 🤔 But can it live up to its non-plant-based counterpart? Short answer? Yes. As a carnivore myself, I often get super bloated after eating vegan food (perhaps from the excess usage of legumes as protein), but I did not feel that heavy sensation after eating at ippudo V. Finding vegan ramen in NYC: 📍 Ippudo V - DUMBO, Brooklyn You've probably heard of the famous Japanese ramen restaurant chain Ippudo, but did you know they have a fully vegan location in Brooklyn? 🤯 Last week I got to go to their Spring media preview event, and WOW everything was truly amazing! 💯 They offer plant-based sushi, ramen, desserts, and more! My favorite roll was the Brooklyn Bridge 🍣 And my friend and I both LOVED the yuzu apple martini (but careful, they're pretty strong 😂) I got the Hakuna Matata ramen, and thankfully I had a Japanese culture connoisseur at my table, because otherwise I wouldn't have known to dip the noodles in the broth 😆 Shoutout to Susan from @japanculturenyc 🙌 This ramen dish is also served with natto, or fermented soybeans. It's pretty pungent and intense by itself, but I liked it mixed with the rest of the ramen! Everything was 10/10 - the food, the drinks, the ambience, and the service!
