Materials Needed:-
• Base coat
• Gel polish (any base color)
• No-wipe top coat
• Chrome powder
• Silicone applicator or eyeshadow sponge
• Nail art brush
• Clean-up brush and alcohol (for mistakes)
Step-by-Step Process:
1. Prep the Nails
• Start with clean, dry nails.
• Push back cuticles and shape the nails as desired.
• Buff the surface of the nail lightly to remove shine.
• Wipe nails with alcohol or nail cleanser to remove dust and oils.
2. Apply Base Coat
• Apply a thin layer of base coat to each nail.
• Cure under a UV/LED lamp according to the product’s instructions.
3. Apply Base Color
• Apply two thin coats of gel polish in your desired base color.
• Cure each coat under the UV/LED lamp.
• Ensure the polish is smooth and even.
4. Apply No-Wipe Top Coat
• Apply a no-wipe top coat over the entire nail.
• Cure under the UV/LED lamp.
5. Create the Isolated Chrome Effect
• Use a nail art brush and a no-wipe top coat to paint the areas where you want the chrome effect. This could be lines, shapes, tips, or abstract designs.
• Cure under the UV/LED lamp.
• Using a silicone applicator or eyeshadow sponge, rub chrome powder onto the cured areas.
• Lightly dust off any excess powder.
6. Seal the Design
• Carefully apply another layer of top coat over the chrome design to seal it in.
• Cure under the UV/LED lamp.
• Wipe the nails with alcohol if necessary to remove excess chrome powder from unwanted areas.
7. Finishing Touches
• Apply cuticle oil to keep nails hydrated.
