When applying lash fans, here are my non negotiable steps:
1. In the beginning when i was still mastering the skill, i use my F.I.D.A. method. Fan, Isolate, Dip, Apply. This helps with the glue not drying on me as I’m isolating the natural lashes. It also ensures the glue on the lashes is fresh before it touches the natural lash.
2. Holding the fan parallel to the natural lash before letting them touch. This helps with making sure there’s enough contact surface between the fan and the natural lash for maximized retention. The goal is for the entire base of the fan to be touching the natural lash.
3. Wiggling the base of the lash around the natural lash. This helps with wrapping the lash extensions around the natural lash. This maximizes the retention, and prevents it from being easily popped off.
When I created the MTT course, these are just some of the detailed tips I included.
It is my goal to provide a step by step guide on how to lash but also simplifying the overwhelming process.

MI4 Beginner Lash Tech Tips You Need to Know🫶🏽✨
1. Isolation is everything✨ – Before worrying about speed or fancy styles, focus on clean isolation. Poor isolation leads to stickies, discomfort for clients, and sets that don’t last. Practicing this early will make every other skill so much easier to master!
2. Refresh your glue often🌸 – Glue performance drops the longer it sits exposed to the air. Even if it looks fine, the consistency and bonding power weaken. A good rule of thumb is to refresh every 15–20 minutes. This one habit can massively improve retention!!
3. Control your environment 🎀 – Lash glue is sensitive to temperature and humidity. If your room is too dry, the glue won’t cure fast enough; too humid and it will cure too quickly. Get a hygrometer, aim for around 45–65% humidity, and adjust with a humidifier/dehumidifier when needed
4. Be smart with your supplies 💖 – It’s tempting to splurge on big “lash brand” names, but most products come from the same factories. Paying so much extra will eat into your profit and fast, especially when you’re starting out. I put together a vendor list with 20 reliable suppliers (lashes, tweezers, glue, and more) — I’ve personally used and tested them, and some lash trays cost as little as $1.90 each. Perfect if you want to grow your skills without overspending
