En el podcast *LetsRun.com*, el campeón olímpico de los 100 metros aseguró que prefiere esta distancia al icónico doble hectómetro. “A nadie le importa el 200m”, afirmó con contundencia, sorprendiendo a los entrevistadores. Paradójicamente, en 2022 se refirió a los 200m como “su esposa” en la docuserie *Sprint* de Netflix, destacando su intención de batir el récord mundial en esa distancia. Sin embargo, su cambio de opinión parece estar influenciado por su derrota en el premio al Atleta del Año ante Mondo Duplantis ese mismo año.
Lyles explicó que su decisión se debe a la percepción del público sobre el atletismo: “Los 200m son divertidos de ver, pero la gente normal, los no atletas, no les interesa”. Aún así, aclaró que no abandonará esta disciplina, ya que persigue un título olímpico en Los Ángeles 2028. Su enfoque actual está en los 100 metros, una distancia que considera clave para dejar un legado similar al de Usain Bolt. Sobre su gran rival en los 200m, Letsile Tebogo, Lyles se mostró optimista: “Era cuestión de tiempo que alcanzara ese nivel. Su éxito no sorprende a quienes conocen de atletismo”.
Además, Lyles comentó que está trabajando en un evento que lo enfrentará al receptor de la NFL Tyreek Hill, prometiendo que será tan mediático como un combate de boxeo. 👉Úterý - Dopolední fáze: trénink na dráze nebo fartlek ( střídá rychlé a pomalé tempo). Například 3 minuty rychle 1 minutu pomalu vše po dobu jedné hodiny. Odpolední fáze: 12 km běhu.
👉Středa je stejná jako pondělí.
Čtvrtek je “náročný” den. Dopolední fáze: 30 až 40 km blízko maratonskému tempu. Odpolední fáze: neběhá.
