ZOMBIE SPIDER-MEN!! I think this is officially the most fun I had animating one of these shorts! It's hard to believe I lasted 2 videos without animating Spider-man! I had to animate 4 to balance the scales and keep my title “the spiderman guy”. This idea was suggested during my livestream and the second I heard it I couldn't stop myself! A journey since 2007 to 2022, it’s been 15 years. I started to learn photoshop when I was 11 years old. When Spider-Man 3 Sandman appeared in 2007, I was amazed and started to learn 3ds Max and Zbrush by myself. Unlike today, CG resources were not widely available & very limited, and I didn’t know English back then. So pushing all the buttons and see what it does was how I learned about CGI. However, it’s not a painful memory, In fact I enjoyed the days when my curiosity pushed me to go further and learn. So 3 years later in 2010 I was able to come up with a “recognizable” head model and give it blendshapes shown in the video above. I was so proud at that moment, but I knew it looked really bad at the same time. So later in 2012, I enrolled in the best university in my country - The One Academy, Penang branch. It was a life changing decision. I begin to learn and adapt quickly thanks to my foundation started at the age of 11. Now I teach in the college where myself graduated in 2016. Have been teaching here for 6 years and I’m soon moving into the next chapter - to be announced in early 2023. I see a lot of masters posting their before and afters recently, and I really envy them. Some people took 1-2 years to become much better than me, but that didn’t stop me from pursuing this career. I want to take this opportunity to mention artists like @theantropus @ianspriggs @sefkiibrahim @hadikarimi.portraits and more. They are the reason I started to focus on 3D digital portraits. This passion had turned into an obsession and it will continue to push me to become a better artist. For the concept & look,the goal was for the demon to resemble a Death Eater from Harry Potter crossed with Death Harvest. For Fx technical, creating elements such as smoke and cloth can be incorporated into any kind of animation that will be created for the demon in the music video.
