Then comes Lunch: everyone takes 4 more tiles. Next is Dinner: everyone takes another 4 tiles. Finally, it’s Dessert: • East gets 2 tiles • Everyone else gets 1 tile Breakfast → Lunch → Dinner → Dessert. That’s the rhythm, and once you remember the meals, dealing becomes automatic. Common Mistakes in Hong Kong (13-Tile) and Taiwanese (16-Tile) Mahjong Honor tiles, which include the four winds and three dragons, cannot form melds (three or four of a kind) or pairs with any other tile besides their own duplicates. The only exception to this rule is the exceedingly rare hand known as 13 Orphans. For example, East - West - South is not a meld, but East, East, East (東東東) is a valid one. Green - Red - Blue is not a meld, but Red, Red, Red (🀄️🀄️🀄️) is a valid one. #mahjong #mahjongtips #mahjongcommunity
