Extreme wind test on the new @djiglobal Mini 4 Pro! We all know the Mavic 3 is the king of wind resistance, but I had to try and push the Mini to its limits on a real Icelandic windy day. Being only 249 grams with the standard battery (which I used for this test), you would expect the wind to sweep it away. However, with advanced GPS positioning and clever aerodynamics, it holds position amazingly well in extreme winds. Of course, it’s not as good as the Mavic 3 Pro, but for its weight, it’s super impressive. The Mavic 3 Pro is almost four times heavier than the Mini 4 Pro, so naturally, it’s much more stable in wind. In photography, that stability is crucial as I often have to use low shutter speeds in strong winds when shooting in low light. But in videos, it does not matter as much as the gimbal will eliminate the shake, as you can see in those shots. The only scenario I feel like it struggles in is where you need to fly back home against strong wind gusts. There, it barely reaches over 10km/h speed unless you switch to sport mode, making it run out of battery much faster. But overall, it handles wind much better than I had expected! 🔥
