ARThis residence by Studio Modbox (@studio.modbox) is organised around light, movement and a strong sense of internal connection. Planned for a small family, the layout prioritises openness, allowing spaces to remain in conversation with one another without feeling exposed.
The living area, placed at the edge of the plan, draws in ample daylight and is anchored by a feature art wall that lends the room its visual focus. Bathrooms are approached as crafted interiors, layered, tactile and indulgent without excess.
The spatial crescendo arrives at the double-height entrance, where the staircase railing is articulated in fluid metal, lending the home its most expressive gesture. As Guneet Singh observes, “The heart of the house, the staircase railing and the double-height entrance, for both we have used metal in a fluid form. The end result has been a cherry on the cake.”
Underlying the project is the studio’s belief, articulated by Harjas Kaur: “At Studio Modbox we believe that every house has a rhythm, a pulse of its own. Design is about finding it and bringing it to life.” (@chapterofdesign)
