Yesterday, I got a Roland MT32, so I'm pretty psyched about that. I chose to debut it on one of my all-time favorite adventure games. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. It was probably the first game I remember came in a cdrom edition as well l. And I just couldn't understand how it was possible to have the characters actually speak their lines. Mind blowing!!! 😆🤣

本講座では「音楽の組み立て方と審査内容の理解」といったテーマに基づき、愛工大名電高校吹奏楽部ご協力の元、演奏や動きの基礎練習方法からドリル演奏環境でアンサンブルを作り上げていく過程。また、アメリカDCIでの審査資格を持つ梶山先生が考える審査内容の理解の仕方まで計4回に渡ってお届け致します。

＜講師紹介＞
梶山宇一
愛町吹奏楽団にて音楽とマーチングに出会う。高校卒業後、アメリカDCI「Cavalires Drum & Bugle Corps 」に入団。Cavaliresでのスタッフを務め、またコンコルディアシカゴ大学音楽科を卒業した後、帰国。現在は愛知工業大学名電高等学校吹奏楽部、名古屋音楽大学、名古屋商科大学で指導を務める傍ら、欧米、アジアの国々における国際大会の審査員、指導者と活動を行う。

The Legend of Kyrandia is based on the text adventure Kyrandia: Fantasy World of Legends, a BBS game.
Brett Sperry and Louis Castle, presented a demo of the game introducing a single-icon cursor for all actions to Ken Williams. But were let down when Ken showed them King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder which was in development and had its own new icon-driven interface. Ken liked the game and asked if they wanted to sell Westwood to Sierra which they refused.

ROThis weekend I found an old Roland MT-32 at a flea market in Stockholm for 10 dollars and the other day I wanted to see if this old synth module from 1987 worked. I decided to use the Yamaha Tenori-on to control and “play” the MT-32 and I was very pleased to discover that it was fully functional. The sounds on the MT-32 are very much of the period and in this little film I’m scrolling between the sounds a bit...different whistles, bottles and more ethnic sounds...!
The reason why I used the Tenori-on is because it is a great tool to come up with unusual patterns and sequences that I wouldn’t necessarily play intentionally...!

JAMy first synthesizer, the Roland D-10. I begged my parents hard for this thing. Roland kind of marketed it as a multi-timbral D-50, but it was no D-50. I was pretty disappointed once I got into it, it was similar to the feeling I had a few weeks after my Sea Monkey eggs hatched and I realized those human-like creatures in the comic book ad were, in reality, the low level organisms people would feed to their fish. But it was my first synth and was all I had, so I used the hell out of it. Even wore out the front panel graphics. I soon realized how limited it was and began to assemble one of the world’s best synth collections (thanks in great part due to my dissatisfaction with the D-10!). Put it in storage for decades. Pulled it out today and fell in love with it again, but this time I see it differently. Limitations are good, as they force you to think outside the box. Yesterday, I was thinking about disassembling it - maybe even smashing it - and turning it into a piece of art, but today I decided I’m gonna refurbish it and make a track or 10 on it, in memory of my parents. Here’s a sound I made on it today.
