STNuo has been open for a few months now in Monterey Park, and the lines are still long—which says a lot. This mochi spot is pretty unique for LA dessert lovers, even though this style of mochi is super popular in China and Taiwan. Each mochi is basically softball-sized, insanely soft and stretchy, with both sweet and savory fillings.
The sesame and purple rice are my favorites—not too sweet and super satisfying. Everything is made to order, so it’s fresh, but expect a wait. 30 minutes is normal, an hour isn’t shocking. You can order ahead and come back when they text you. If you’re searching for the best mochi in SGV, this one’s worth trying.
