Indian benchmark indices closed flat on Friday, after rising 2% over the last two sessions, with gains in heavyweight Reliance Industries offsetting declines in IT stocks, as market sentiments remained cautious with concerns over US tariffs amid fluctuating trade policy that has rattled global financial markets. The benchmark BSE Sensex lost 7.51 points or 0.01% to close at 74,332.58, while the broader Nifty 50 index closed at 22,552.50, higher by 7.80 points or 0.03%. The IT index closed 0.9% lower, as technology companies derive a significant portion of their revenue from the US Shares of tech heavyweights Infosys and HCL Technologies declined more than 1.6%. The auto index pared earlier gains to end 0.1% higher. Heute co-veröffentlicht @fian_deutschland einen Bericht, der die Menschenrechtsverletzungen durch verschiedene „Soil-Carbon-Offsetting“-Projekte auf die Maasai in Tanzania beleuchtet. Ich war gerade in der letzten Woche noch dort, habe mit den Communities vor Ort gesprochen und die Situation für euch zusammengefasst. Dieses Beispiel macht noch einmal ganz deutlich, wieso CO2-Märkte nicht funktionieren. Weder ist klar, ob hier tatsächlich CO2 gespeichert wird, noch werden die Rechte der lokalen Communities geachtet. 
Klar muss sein: wir müssen Firmen wie Volkswagen nicht nur als Verursacher von massiven Klimaschäden in Verantwortung nehmen, sondern auch für solch massive Verletzungen der Menschenrechte!
