ONKeshav, Assistant Intern (Work-over Rig Operations), belongs to a small town, Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, and is now learning at the oil and gas fields of ONGC Mehsana, Gujarat, under the #PrimeMinisterInternshipScheme (#PMIS).
At #ONGC, he is gaining hands-on exposure to advanced field equipment, understanding complex energy systems, and contributing to critical rig operations that keep #India’s energy flowing 24×7. As part of his training, Keshav is also learning the vital skill of treating “sick wells”, restoring their productivity through efficient work-over rig operations, an essential process that enhances production and strengthens India’s energy security.
Under the #PrimeMinisterInternshipScheme, each intern receives a one-time assistance of ₹6,000 from the Government of India, along with a monthly stipend of ₹4,500. In addition, ONGC provides ₹500 per month as a supplementary stipend, ₹5,000 per month for food, and ₹5,000 per month for accommodation support to outstation interns. These provisions ensure that young talents like Keshav can focus entirely on learning, innovation, and real-world field exposure, transforming potential into purpose.
