DAHere are my cinematic settings and gear I use for the vlogging with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3:
Resolution:
Set the resolution to 4K if you’re shooting horizontal and 3K if you’re shooting vertical. Doing this will allow you to maximize the performance of the camera sensor to achieve a sharper image which also allows you to crop without losing quality.
Frame Rate:
Set the frame rate to 24fps to achieve the natural motion blur that is traditionally seen in films. This motion blur is pleasing to the eye.
PRO Feature:
Swipe right on your Osmo Pocket 3 and enable the “PRO” option. It should turn yellow when enabled. This will allow you to manually adjust the camera settings
Exposure:
Set the exposure to “M” instead of auto so can control the shutter speed and iso.
Shutter:
Set the shutter speed to 1/50 which allow you to follow the 180 degree shutter rule and achieve the natural motion blur. This is usually double the frame rate that we setup previously (24p).
ISO:
The pocket 3 allows you to set a range for the iso which is great because you can let the camera calculate the amount of light its needs depending on the environment. I set this to 50-800.
Color:
Set the color to “D-Log M”. This will make your footage look flat and washed out, but will allow maximum color correction when it’s time to edit. You will need a conversion LUT which can be found on the DJI website.
Adjustments:
Set both sharpness and noise reduction to “-2”. This will give it less of a digital look.
ND Filter:
This isn’t a setting, but it’s an accessory that is essential for the cinematic look. These are sunglasses for your camera and will help with properly exposing your footage. I use a variable nd that can be adjusted on the go without having to swap them on & off.
EV:
This is the number below the battery icon. This determines how your exposure looks. “+” means there are parts of your image that are too bright and “-“ means the opposite. We ideally want to keep this at 0. So this is when you will use the ND filter to adjust it accordingly.

MITrying the new @djiglobal osmo poket 3 combined with the @movmaxglobal blade arm for smoother rollers on the go.
So I don’t have to put my whole camera equipment on a car to film rollers and well what should I say it’s stunning the osmo pocket 3 with the blade arm makes so stunning footage that’s a game changer for rollers on the go when I’m on a event and somebody is asking for a quick roller.
The best thing is that u can film in d-log and I love it.
