I managed to stay light on my feet whilst having enough grip to maneuver from gravel to rock, to sand, grass, and then water! The combination of running and swimming is the perfect mix for someone who wants to test their endurance and adaptability. Otillo 2025! Second time doing this race and it did not disappoint!! It is a true adventure race that has you scrambling up and down rocks, fighting kelp, running goat paths, getting attacked by cactus— all while attached to your best friend. Pretty good day on Catalina if I do say so myself. 19 miles total 16 run 3 swim 4000ft gain. . Also pretty cool that 10+ years after our pool days as a Stanford sprinter and Cal distance swimmer, @feliciaflee and I are doing crazy things like this. It’s fun to see where life takes you and even more fun to get to do it people like this.

SWINRUN - modalidade de esporte endurance criada em 2006 na Suécia, que tem como objetivo intercalar natação (lagos ou alto mar) e corrida (terrenos cross-country) por um trajeto determinado com a utilização de alguns equipamentos (tênis, pullboy, palmar, óculos, touca, etc...), sendo que os equipamentos utilizados deve permanecer com o atleta durante todo o trajeto. A @equipehero @fabioisk foi uma das primeiras a disseminar a cultura do SWINRUN no RJ, e segue trazendo competições e treinos específicos para a modalidade com o objetivo de aumentar cada vez mais a prática desse esporte em terras brasileiras e dia 31 de Agosto tem a @heroswimrun em Búzios - RJ. Sábado é dia de longão e como sempre um treino desafiador, apesar do esforço físico e exaustão no final, a sensação de dever cumprido e o conhecimento da capacidade do seu corpo em realizar algo é muito gratificante. Enquanto o Triatlon não chega, vou me divertindo, aprendendo e me desafiando em outras modalidades. Muito obrigado @casbritos @mateusn.cruz pelos ensinamentos diários!
