EAPark St. Diner | 📍Sydney
Visited the new The Park St. Diner by The Grounds, opened right above Gadigal Metro Station 🚉 I was instantly drawn in by the American-style design 🇺🇸 and what really elevated the whole experience was the vibe!
The retro interior, booths, colour palette and even the tableware made it genuinely feel like stepping into an American diner set.
Do expect a long queue on weekends, but it moves steadily.
We tried a good mix of their savoury menu + coffee ☕️ here’s my HONEST REVIEW…
🍔 DOUBLE BEEF ‘N’ CHEESE BURGER ($22 + $4 fries)
The standout for me 😍 Thick, juicy patties that were properly seasoned and delivered that nostalgic classic cheeseburger flavour. The balance of cheese, pickles, onion and burger sauce worked perfectly 😋 simple, satisfying and reliable. If you’re unsure what to order, this is a safe bet ❤️🔥
🐟 FILLET OF FISH SANDWICH ($26)
The fillet was surprisingly thick and generous. Slightly over-fried but still enjoyable. The tartare sauce helped balance the texture and kept it from feeling dry.
🥪 PULLED BEEF SANDWICH ($32)
Rich and comforting. The cheese sauce and caramelised onions paired beautifully, and the jus dip added depth. The pulled beef was just a touch dry, but overall still flavourful.
🧇 FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLE ($32)
Great flavour combo with buffalo and ranch. Mine was served a little cold and I expected more crispiness from the chicken. Taste-wise enjoyable, but texture could improve.
🥧 Apple Pie ($14)
I wish it was served warm. Strong cinnamon notes with a slight sourness from the apple. Not my favourite dish of the day.
☕️ Coffee
Cold brew had a lovely aroma with natural sweetness, very easy to drink 👍🏻 The soy latte was my favourite, smooth, balanced, slightly fruity.
💭 Overall thoughts?
The food was enjoyable but the atmosphere truly steals the show. It’s one of those spots where the experience is just as memorable as the meal ✨
