I was so very thrilled to see my good friend Peter Copping honored by the French Heritage Society this last week in New York. Peter has totally reinvigorated France’s oldest fashion house, Lanvin! James Fallon of @wwd lauded Peter for his legendary career as Artistic Director at @ninaricci, @oscardelarenta and now @lanvin. Peter spoke eloquently to the importance of Heritage, which is “not only what we inherit, it is what we choose to own, to care for, to restore and to pass forward.” I was also so thrilled to have my dear friends Paula and Danny Wegman join me for this special event. The final photos are ones that I took from Madame Lanvin’s office in Paris. It is still totally intact with all of her beautiful archives from the many years that she was designing. Huge bravo to Peter Copping…not only an incredibly talented man and also one of the sweetest guys I know! #fashion #mode #hightfashion #gala #ballgowns #heritage #frenchheritagesociety #legendary
