Last week I showed you upper back stretches, Today let’s focus on lower back. For me these stretches help reduce lower back pain, increase flexibility, and improve overall posture. 1. Cat-Cow Stretch - Get on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Inhale as you arch your back, tilting your pelvis up, and look up towards the ceiling. Exhale as you round your spine, tucking your pelvis under, and bring your chin to your chest. 10x 2. To use a foam roller for chiropractic benefits, start by sitting or lying down on the floor and placing the roller under the part of your body you want to target, such as your back, legs, or arms. Slowly roll back and forth over the foam roller, applying gentle pressure to massage and stretch the muscles and fascia. Focus on areas of tension or discomfort, spending extra time on these spots, but avoid rolling directly over joints or bones to prevent injury. 3. The Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana) helps stretch the spine, shoulders, and hamstrings, promoting flexibility and relieving tension in these areas. It aids in calming the mind and reducing stress by encouraging a focused and meditative state during the stretch. Additionally, this pose stimulates the abdominal organs, improving digestion and helping to regulate the body’s metabolic processes. 4. Seated Spinal Twist - Sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Bend your right knee and place your right foot on the outside of your left knee. Twist your torso to the right, placing your left elbow on the outside of your right knee. Hold for 15-20 seconds, then switch sides. 5. Back Roll Massage - gently back-and-forth while holding your legs upright in the fetal position. You’re back will thank you later ❤️ 🙏🏻 Remember to always listen to your body. Don’t rush or force a stretch or do anything that is painful. Slow and sure is the key - consult your doctor before doing anything new or worrisome. Les inversions sont l’un des mouvements les plus intéressants pendant la grossesse — et pas seulement quand bébé est en siège. Même si ton bébé est déjà tête en bas, cette position reste extrêmement utile. ✨ Les avantages des inversions pendant la grossesse : • Décompression du bas du dos et soulagement des tensions lombaires • Détente des ligaments utérins et amélioration du confort pelvien • Relâchement des muscles profonds du bassin (dont l’obturateur interne) • Meilleure mobilité du sacrum et du détroit inférieur • Déstimulation du système nerveux → apaisement, respiration plus profonde • Amélioration de la posture et de la sensation d’espace dans le ventre Et oui, les inversions peuvent aussi aider au retournement d’un bébé en siège ou transverse, mais ce n’est pas leur seul rôle. ⚡ Pendant le travail, les inversions peuvent : • Accélérer un travail qui stagne • Créer plus d’espace pour aider bébé à mieux s’engager • Aider un bébé “coincé” dans une mauvaise position • Relâcher les tensions musculaires qui freinent la descente • Réinitialiser le bassin et relancer la progression du travail Elles peuvent être maintenues 3 à 5 respirations, et pratiquées quotidiennement si tout est ok dans ta grossesse. Et non : faire une inversion ne fera pas remonter un bébé déjà tête en bas. Ça ne “défait” pas le travail du corps. 🚫 Contre-indications des inversions : Ne pas pratiquer — ou demander impérativement l’avis de votre sage-femme ou médecin — en cas de : • Hypertension / pré-éclampsie • Saignements inexpliqués • Placenta prævia • Menace d’accouchement prématuré • excès de liquide amniotique • Reflux gastriques • Si tu ne te sens pas à l’aise avec cette position, écoute toi • Rupture de la poche des eaux • Vertiges, malaise, troubles de l’équilibre • Douleur aiguë dans le bassin ou le bas du dos • Toute situation où votre professionnel vous conseille d’éviter En cas de doute → demandez un avis médical. 👉 Tu peux pratiquer cette inversion tous les jours, ou l’utiliser ponctuellement pendant le travail pour débloquer une situation.
