Lokta paper has fibres that can get pulled up whilst using a baren, so by putting a sheet of parchment paper in between you stop that happening and protect the paper. This is gonna make my life a whole lot easier istg #printmaking #printmaker

Every printmaker is a little different, and this is what works best for me: ✷ I favor using a soft cut block (like Speedycarve) but block type is very subjective and you should try a few kinds to see what works for you! ✷ I find that the process of tracing, transferring and then outlining again helps me figure out how I’m going to make my cuts when I start carving. ✷ And the carving is the BEST PART! Have fun and let yourself explore different mark making when you carve; that’s what makes relief printing so great. ✷ If you have any process or material questions, feel free to drop them in the comments. ✷ #contemporaryprintmaking #linocut #tattooart
