The mistake is assuming length depends only on radius. In geometry — and physics — what matters is the full path. For curved motion, distance traveled is arc length, which depends on both: • the curve’s radius • the angle swept A smaller radius can “make up for it” with a larger angle. A larger radius needs a smaller angle to reach the exact same length. The result? Curves that look very different… but end at the same distance. A sharp reminder that in science, the path matters as much as the dimensions — and our visual intuition often loses to math. What looks “bigger” doesn’t always go farther.
