BRWhen Brady went for his teeth cleaning they weighed him at 30.6 pounds! This means he lost 6 pounds since the last time we weighed him! The boys have always been an acceptable weight according to our vet, but shedding a few pounds for optimal joint health would be ideal. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get them to lose more than a pound until I switched to an all raw diet with @wefeedraw. Here are a few things about a raw diet that I believe have contributed to his weight loss:
Nutrient Absorption - A raw diet provides nutrients in a more bioavailable form, leading to better nutrient absorption and potential weight loss as dogs can utilize these nutrients more effectively (this is also the reason they 💩 less on a raw diet).
Better Muscle Tone - A well-balanced raw diet can promote lean muscle development, which might lead to a healthier body composition with less fat and more muscle mass. 6 pounds is a significant amount of weight for Brady to lose, but to me, he doesn’t look any different or any thinner. I believe he has shed excess fat while building new muscle.
Increased Physical Activity: Dogs on a raw diet may become more active due to high-protein content. Increased physical activity can lead to weight loss if the dog is burning more calories than it’s consuming. Brady and Graffiti play with each other every day, multiple times a day. Before they only played every few days.
Switching to @wefeedraw has been the best thing I’ve ever done for Brady and Graffiti. We’ve been feeding it to them for close to 8 months now and as time goes on, I continue to see more and more positive effects from this diet.

Just to clear up some of the delightful misinformation being spread by the big kibble companies:
Dogs who are raw fed are NOT chronically constipated, those who feed raw properly are SAFE from diseases, and vet diets can actually be MORE expensive than feeding raw 😂🤌🏻
Do I think raw is for every dog? No. But do I think kibble is for every dog? Also no. Every dog is different and if the dog is doing well than it’s OBVIOUSLY working ✨
