I’ve always seen every month as a fresh start. March feels extra special because it’s International Women’s Month. As women, we’re often taught to push, accommodate, prove, and perform. So this month, instead of adding more goals, I’m choosing to shift how I think because the real transformation isn’t in doing more, it’s in thinking differently. And if you’re craving a reset too, here’s how you can join me: 1. Instead of worrying about being “behind,” choose to recognize that slow progress is still progress. 2. Stop treating everything as urgent. Start distinguishing urgency from importance. 3. Stop waiting for the “right time.” Starting imperfectly beats waiting perfectly. 4. Instead of earning rest, recognize that rest supports your ambition. 5. Move from doing more to trusting that less, done well, compounds. 6. Stop waiting for permission to slow down. Choose your own pace. 7. Stop believing you need permission. You’re allowed to choose your own path. 8. Joking about things that actually hurt you Downplaying pain to stay likable or avoid making others uncomfortable. 3. Not feeling hungry in the morning This can happen when cortisol is elevated and your body is stuck in survival mode. A regulated nervous system usually allows hunger cues. 4. Always needing background noise Silence can bring you closer to your internal experience. If that feels overwhelming, your nervous system may be overloaded. 5. Over-explaining yourself Trying to manage how others see you in order to prevent rejection or misunderstanding. 6. Feeling guilty when you rest + needing constant stimulation Sometimes productivity becomes a trauma response, and slowing down can feel unsafe. 7. Feeling anxious when someone around you is upset Hypervigilance trains your nervous system to constantly scan the environment for potential threats. 8. Overthinking the future and imagining worst-case scenarios Your brain may believe that if it anticipates everything, it can protect you from getting hurt. 9. Calling emotional shutdown “being mature” Numbness isn’t the same as regulation. True regulation allows you to feel connected and present. 10. Saying “it’s fine” when it really isn’t Self-abandonment that often shows up as trying to keep the peace. 2025 taught me that real leadership and love doesn’t come from force or hustle it comes from clarity. There was a time when I thought being a leader meant holding everything together, over-explaining my decisions, absorbing everyone else’s emotions, and pushing through when my body was clearly asking for rest. That version of leadership was loud, exhausting, and unsustainable. DUH!!! The pivot came when I realized this: I am an HSP and leadership starts with self-trust. With pause instead of reaction. With boundaries that don’t require justification. With a regulated nervous system that can actually lead instead of just survive. I’m walking into 2026 differently. Not chasing. Not proving. Not performing. I’m choosing direction over noise. Alignment over urgency. Peace over pressure. I’m not expecting overnight change. I’m moving with intention. Gliding instead of forcing. Trusting the pace. Building what lasts. And I’m giving myself permission for the next chapter to evolve even if it doesn’t include real estate in the same way… or at all. 2026 feels steady. Validate yourself first or you’ll end up begging for crumbs from people who can’t feed themselves. If you’re confused about someone’s intentions, you already have your answer: People who value you are clear and consistent. You should never need to guess what someone’s intentions are. People show you who they are, believe them the first time. Alignment never feels confusing. Your body is smarter than your mind, biohack it with respect: “Push harder” isn’t always the answer. Sleep, lift, eat protein, move daily. Master the basics. Treat your body like the high-performance machine it is. Discipline will change your life faster than motivation: Motivation is unreliable, discipline builds your life. Better energy, a regulated nervous system, and a healthier you all come from daily non-negotiables. Regulate your nervous system, not your ego: Chaos doesn’t make you edgy anymore, it ages you. Boundaries, deep breaths, tech time-outs... these aren’t luxuries. They’re survival. Calm is the real power move. You’re not “too much,” they’re just too little: Your ambition and boundaries aren’t flaws. If someone calls you “difficult,” they mean they can’t manipulate you. I’m no longer making decisions from urgency, fear, or the need to be liked. I’m choosing from safety, self-trust, and what my body can actually sustain. I’m being far more selective with my time, energy, and access. My boundaries don’t need explaining or softening anymore — they exist to protect my nervous system and my life force. Instead of people-pleasing, I pause. I check in with my body. I respond when I’m resourced, not when I feel pressured. I’m choosing alignment over approval. Instead of bending to keep the peace, I’m standing steady in my no and allowing others to meet me where I am. I’m letting discomfort pass without rescuing, fixing, or over-giving. What’s meant for me will not require self-abandonment. I’m resting without guilt, receiving without justification, and trusting that the right relationships, work, and opportunities will naturally self-select when I stop performing for safety.
