CRThis is T-Rex from Walking with Dinosaurs - The Arena Spectacular, back in 2007, undergoing some final movement tests in our workshop before going out on the road. While the underlying technology has evolved over the years (these creatures were largely hydraulic, these days we use electric actuators), the principals we use to create lifelike movement in what are essentially giant mechanical machines hasn’t changed. We start with the performance and the guest experience, and we work backwards to the machine. It’s a design approach that has served us well and kept CTC at the top of the game for almost two decades.
