MOHomemade Chocolate Chip Cookies
Homemade chocolate chip cookies made from scratch using simple ingredients. Soft, classic, and perfect fresh from the oven. Full instructions are shown in the video — save this one for later.
Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs (mixed in one at a time)
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups dark chocolate chips
Freeze dough for 15 minutes.
Bake at 375°F for 13–18 minutes.

THHomemade Jello Cups!
Ingredients:
4 cups fruit juice
2 tablespoons beef gelatin
Sweetener to taste (optional)
Instructions:
Sprinkle gelatin over 1 cup juice and let bloom 5 min. Heat remaining 3 cups juice until hot. Stir in gelatin until dissolved. Sweeten if desired. Pour into molds or a dish and refrigerate 4+ hours.

SUScratch Sundays ep. 1 | How to create a sourdough starter with minimal waste
What you’ll need:
A glass jar
A rubber band (this helps you to see if your starter is growing)
A spatula
Warm water
Wholemeal flour
All purpose flour / plain flour
Day 1
Add 1 tsp of wholemeal flour and 1 tsp of plain flour to a glass jar. Add a little warm water to make it thick (like pancake batter). Place a loose lid on top and put in a warm place.
Day 2
Add 1 tsp of plain flour. If needed a little warm water. Mix. Replace lid. Put back in its warm place. This is what ‘feeding is.’
Continue adding 1 tsp a day until you start to see bubbles. I use small measurements to mitigate the need to discard everyday.
Bubbles
When you begin to see bubbles, start feeding your starter twice a day. I like to do it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. At this point you might need to discard all but one tablespoon of your starter if it’s getting too big.
Every 7 days
During this initial phase I like to move my starter to a new container every week.
When is it ready?
Your starter is ready when it visibly doubles in size, you can see bubbles on the top and on the sides and has a domed shape. This process might take a few days to a few weeks depending on how warm your house is.
*Key Tips*
Feeding regularly and keeping your starter in a warm spot are the most important things!

ROAll about recipes that are simple, delicious and fast these days ✨ I have made this 5-minute drop biscuit recipe too many times to count and it never disappoints. These biscuits are great with jam and butter for breakfast, a tasty side for dinner, or my personal favorite - biscuits and mushroom gravy 🤤
RECIPE:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 TBS baking powder
- 1 stick of cold butter (about 110g)
- 1 TBS Rosemary (optional)
- 1 cup buttermilk (add in gradually)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- preheat oven to 450F
- combine flour, salt, rosemary and baking soda in a bowl, stir well
- grate butter into dry ingredients, stir until evenly distributed
- add buttermilk slowly until a slightly sticky dough forms
- roll into balls and place in cast iron pan
- bake for 16-20 min until golden brown
- top with butter and enjoy 🧈🧈
If you don’t have buttermilk handy, you can add 1 TBS of lemon juice or white vinegar to 1 cup of milk to create your own!

HOSourdough croutons are the easiest way to use up extra bread.. and they taste insane. 🤍
Cubed sourdough, tossed in olive oil, seasonings, and a handful of parmesan… baked until golden and crisp. Mine took about 20 minutes since sourdough can be a bit dense, but totally worth the wait.
Recipe:
• 4 cups sourdough cubes
• 3–4 tbsp olive oil
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp onion powder
• ½–1 tsp Italian seasoning
• 2 tbsp parmesan
Toss well and bake at 375°F for 15–20 min, flipping halfway.
Perfect for soups, salads, or snacking straight off the tray. 🥹✨

GL🤩 Did you know that people come to Ohio just for food…ok … and maybe some family time too. This past winter a visitor from Alaska ate at Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen and gave it rave reviews. Since then this has been on my bucket list.
1️⃣ Rule #1 make a reservation. Why is this number one? It’s a scratch kitchen and you’re gonna want them to know you’re coming. 😉 plus it’s a small intimate space and you’ll want a table and not have to wait.
🚎 Bucci’s is tucked in off the road in the old C D and M trolley building…so the building is as unique as the dining experience.
My expectations were high…and boy were they met! Everything from the bread 🥖 service to the 🍰 desserts had me smiling at every bite.
🎶 Alex, the owner, took us on a quick tour of the space and there is a wedding venue to seat about 150 people and the new outdoor space with live music …. well, that space had me planning my next trip back.
2️⃣ Rule #2 For myself, was don’t over eat…let’s just say mistakes were make and I ate, and I have no regrets.
😋 The chicken parm was the best we ever had and the lasagna with the house-made sauce was a 🥇 winner.
👋 You’ve got to try this place out!

🥬 Here’s how to make it:
• Shred 4 small heads of organic cabbage
• Add 1 tbsp salt (I use a good mineral-rich salt)
• Massage the cabbage until it releases liquid (this takes ~5–10 min)
• Pack tightly into a jar, pressing down so the brine rises to cover the cabbage
• Weigh it down (I use a fermentation weight or rock in a ziplock 🤫)
• Cover loosely with a lid or cloth
• Let ferment at room temp for 5–10 days, tasting as you go
That’s it! Store in the fridge once it tastes how you like it.
