A weight between your thighs during supine chest, hamstring curls or a hamstring lean 12. Your legs close together during a hamstring curl 13. You bring a friend and challenge each other to go slower 14. Commit to one rep in an amplification in every exercise 15. Your knees further behind your hips in an extension 16. Hover your elbows in a kneeling tricep press 17. Wrap your bungee 18. Hold two weights during a lunge and gradually drop them as you fatigue 19. Add a hip pulse in a SAC 20. I want to be clear, I think Solidcore is amazing and an incredible workout. The instructors are great, the programming is challenging, and I completely understand why so many people love it. But it wasn’t accessible for my body and brain. It wasn’t close enough to be a true low-lift option for my ADHD. That extra friction made it harder to go consistently, even when I wanted to. The machine also didn’t accommodate my body proportions well, especially with my shoulder history and chronic pain. Certain movements, like push ups, required a base that my body simply does better with. And during pain flare-ups, it was difficult to modify in a way that actually supported me. Instead of leaving feeling stronger, I was leaving feeling depleted, or avoiding going altogether so I could protect the limited energy I had. This was a really important reminder that something can be an incredible workout and still not be the right fit for you. Your movement should support your body, your nervous system, and your long term consistency. Not require you to override your pain, exhaustion, or accessibility needs just to keep up.
