So many of us were taught to have “polite anger.” We say we’re just frustrated or annoyed because we’re afraid of what it means to be truly angry. But anger is an essential emotion; it’s the energy that drives us forward and helps us set boundaries. When you do an “anger bypass,” that energy stays trapped in your body. Instead of suppressing it, try a somatic release to let it move: → Punch a pillow. → Scream into a cushion. → Go for an intense run. → Practice aggressive breathwork. You are allowed to be angry. It took me some time to understand what was happening, through somatic work, nervous system study, and my own body breaking down what I couldn’t see at first. I realized that some of what I called healing, was actually re-traumatization. That breath can open too much, too fast. That if the body doesn’t feel safe, it won’t integrate, it will brace and survive. No one had taught me that. And now I can’t not see it. That’s why I don’t guide the same way anymore. Because I know now: You don’t have to break to heal. Your mind can’t always tell the difference between a memory and a moment. When you replay the past, your body relives the past. And your energy field keeps carrying pain that was never meant to stay. This is how we get stuck in loops. Psychologists call it rumination. Spiritual teachers call it energetic imprinting. Painful memories replay like broken records. Your mind repeats the scene… Your body relives the stress… Your energy field carries the weight all over again. Psychology calls it rumination. Spirituality calls it energetic looping. Either way → if you don’t interrupt it, the past keeps shaping your present. Here’s a 4-step ritual to break the loop: Step 1: Locate it • Close your eyes. • Bring the memory up once. • Notice: where does it land in your body? Chest? Throat? Stomach? Step 2: Clap it out Clap your hands sharply 3 times. This breaks the mental + energetic loop, disrupting the replay. Step 3: Sweep it away Brush your hands down your body and around your head. Visualize the memory leaving your field like smoke dissolving into air. Step 4: Replace with presence • Place one hand on your heart. • Take 3 slow breaths. • Say out loud: ✨ “I am here. I am safe. The past is complete.” ✨ Why it works: ✔️ Neuroscience: interrupting the loop rewires memory recall. ✔️ Somatic release: clapping + sweeping break body-memory links. ✔️ Affirmation: re-anchors you in the present timeline. You are not your memories.
