Wo Menschen nur eine einfache Landschaft erkennen, sieht er Licht, Schatten, Gefühle, Erinnerungen und Wahrheit. I thought today was going to be the last day I had to work on this painting. When halfway through the day I realized I would need one more day, I almost cried. This has been test of my endurance. I was over confident on how quickly I could achieve my regular level of finish, which is what got me into trouble with the timing on this. It’s always good to test the limits and I realized. I have reached mine. Never in my 45 years did I think I would ever be tired of painting. I am officially tired of painting after 3 weeks of painting 6 days a week for 8-10 hours each day. So now I know my limit. I could paint more than I do now and be ok. Just not this much. LESSON LEARNED! Panel is @artefexart 538 Brushes here the @trekell_art_supplies taklon round size 4 was an unexpected workhorse in the hands!!!

I'm just gonna say this up front. For some reason this painting wasn't hitting it for me when I finished. But it is important to draw the positive light from all of our work, right. I'm sharing this with you because I want you to know not everything is a home run for me. Here were some positives. I was happy with the handling of the tone. Also, the colours came out okay for the transition from yellow to orange through to cool violet greys. #realism #oilpainting #tischacademy #tischlerart #landscape
