Although many find it a scary thought to take scissors to their knitting, with the right prep and yarn there is nothing to be afraid of! You’ll more likely want to steek all your projects once you’ve tried it. On the 10th January I will be teaching another class on steeking at @yarn_twisters in Calgary and there are still some spots left. Sømmen kan laves pả symaskine, som en hæklet søm eller i händen med 🪡 Personligt ef jeg mest til de håndsyede sting. Min symaskine står langt væk, og det kræver god forberedelse - så maskinen ikke kommer til at trække arbejdet langt og ud af form, så kanterne flaner. Den hæklede kant kan godt blive lidt tyk, og egner sig i mine øjne bedre til et glatstrikket arbejde med 1 farve. At sy med bagsting svarer til 1 skridt frem og 2 tilbage - bare omvendt. Altså 1 skridt tilbage og 2 skridt frem. Når nålen kommer op på forsiden stikker jeg den ned i masken bagved, så den igen ender på bagsiden. Herfra stikker jeg den op igen, men 2 masker længere fremme. Du kan også bare se videoen 👀 Opskriften pà Wild Horses Cardigan Junior udkommer senere i denne uge. Yes! We have success! I was hoping to use Fennec from @littlefoxyarn for a Maia sweater by @bloom.create in @pompommag but I needed to be sure the yarn would needle felt to secure the steek. After needle felting about 5 stitches, I cut into the knitted fabric to see if it would remain intact. It looks very stable so now it’s time to buy yarn!
