The morning the girls were born vs 5 days pp. When I look at our girls I’m still in disbelief that I grew both of them at the same time 🤯 a woman’s body is just incredible. My body grew and stretched to what felt like its absolute limits during this pregnancy. It felt completely different to my first pregnancy. All of the physical discomfort/pain, mental capacity needed for every day and negative body image thoughts completely disappeared once I met the girls… I became insanely proud of myself and my body for doing this. For making it to 36 weeks of a higher risk pregnancy. For carrying & growing 2 healthy babies. Every second of the pregnancy was so worth it. In absolute awe that my body was a home to our 2 beautiful angel girls for 36 weeks 😭💗 #mcdatwins #twins

The Lone Rescue 🦓 The asphalt stretched out like a long, obsidian ribbon under the fading twilight. Aston leaned back in his seat, the hum of the engine the only sound filling the vast, empty highway. He enjoyed the solitude of these drives—until a flash of movement in the high grass caught his eye. He slowed his car, the tires crunching on the gravel shoulder. In the distance, a young zebra, separated from its dazzle, was backed against a wire fence. Its coat was a stark contrast of black and white against the dusty plains. Circling it were two coyotes, their eyes gleaming with hungry intent. The Confrontation The predators were coordinated. One snapped at the foal's heels while the other prepared to lunge for its throat. The zebra kicked out wildly, but it was clearly exhausted. Aston didn’t hesitate. He didn't have a weapon, but he had a two-ton machine. The Charge: Aston shifted into gear and swung the car off the road, aiming the bright high-beams directly at the predators. The Noise: He slammed on the horn, a piercing blast that shattered the silence of the plains. The Intervention: He drove the car in a wide arc, positioning the metal frame of the vehicle directly between the coyotes and the trembling foal. The Retreat Startled by the blinding lights and the roar of the horn, the coyotes yelped and scrambled back into the shadows of the scrubland. They were scavengers, not warriors; a heavy SUV was a fight they weren't willing to pick. Aston kept the engine idling, watching through the rearview mirror until the coyotes were nothing but distant shadows. The zebra foal stayed still for a moment, its chest heaving. After a few tense seconds, it realized the path was clear. With a final, wobbly gallop, it disappeared into the brush toward the direction of the migratory trails. Aston watched it go, took a deep breath, and shifted back into drive. The road was still lonely, but his heart felt a little less heavy.
