EMTHE BIGGEST FACT MISSING?
I learnt and listened to my body over 8 YEARS to find my sweet spot in order to do this and achieve my 3:54 marathon time.
Yes some people can have an almighty 1 or 2 year transformation and take huge chunks of time off. But for a lot of us it takes a lot of learning and understanding and that’s okay! Social media may try to convince you otherwise 🤷🏾♀️
So this is for those still chasing the sub 4 or sub 5 or sub 6 dream!! It’s not always gonna happen in the blink of an eye- trust the process 🙏🏾
Ps. No matter your time running a marathon is OUTSTANDING so if this post alerts your stress on time. Please ignore me and continue on your first marathon journey 👊🏾😉

NAStill can’t quite believe it ✨🥰
My first ever marathon & to do it all in Chicago was truly a dream come true. 42.2 km of pure emotion, chaos, endorphins, sweat, and questionable life choices at around 28km (especially knowing I’m doing this all again next weekend 🤣). Deep down I wondered if I had sub 4 in me, but I didn’t think it was possible, hence the ugly cry lol 🏃♀️ The muscle soreness today is definitely an experience like no other 🙈 But other than that I feel quite good - a pleasant surprise 🥂
Genuinely, I loved every second of it… I really did. It was the toughest thing I’ve ever done so it’s hard to explain why it’s simultaneously so amazing - I guess marathon people understand that & now I do too. Can confirm, I have the bug. ❤️
Massive love to @sports_tours_ireland for having me here and making the whole experience feel seamless, an amazing team & wonderful way to experience a marathon (would high recommend) 🥹
I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat (when I can walk without looking like a penguin, so hopefully by next weekend lol) Apologies for the marathon spam to come still, and thank you SO much for all the love.. ❤️

AKThree years ago, I started this little account just to hold myself accountable for my marathon training.
After more than 10 years of running without hitting any real goals, never consistent.. I knew something had to change.
Within a year, I finally ran a sub4 marathon.
Now I’m sharing my Ironman training for the same reason. This will be my 3rd Ironman, and I want a different outcome.. not just to finish, but to finish stronger.
There are days I don’t even want to film myself. Days I don’t even want to look at myself. But there’s something special about doing something new, trying the things that scare you.
