If you were following me two months ago, you saw my reel about one of Pleasanton’s best kept secrets: Tehan Falls.
Back behind Pleasanton’s Stoneridge mall lies a hidden and magnificent ~80 ft waterfall that flows seasonally (blog post link in bio).
However, after I called East Bay Regional Park District, we determined it was in their Land Bank, and I subsequently took the reel down and shared my story with you about why I took it down.
Its a super confusing area because there are multiple signs that are posted that say “The trail is on private property but open to the public”
Just adjacent to Tehan falls is another hidden gem that I CAN share with all of you and is a part of the city of Pleasanton trails (not East Bay Regional Parks).
Your guide to explore here:
🥾: Lying-Stump & The Preserve Trail, Pleasanton.
🅿️: Free at trailhead, across from Moller Park
Best times to visit: Trail opened April 1st and will close September 30. Open daily 8am - 6pm
🐕: Dogs must be on leash
♿️ : Not ADA accessible
🧒 👧: Very kid friendly although much elevation if you continue up the trail towards Moller Ranch Trails
💡: See my Substack blog post for a custom trail map to this place (link in bio); otherwise search “the preserve trail” in all trails and you’ll need to search around for the tree swing spot. It can be muddy and steep in areas so bring a change of shoes and your hiking poles.
