Areas with flowing water, springs, or incoming streams freeze much more slowly, and snow on top of ice can actually insulate it, preventing thick, solid freezing. Just because a lake looks completely frozen or has a layer of snow on top doesn’t mean it’s safe to walk on. Thin ice can break suddenly under a person’s weight, causing them to fall through into freezing water, which can trigger cold shock and make it extremely difficult to climb back out. As a general safety rule, clear ice should be at least four inches thick to support a person on foot, and much thicker for snowmobiles or vehicles. Cracks, dark patches, slushy areas, or places near shorelines and docks are warning signs that ice may be dangerously thin, making frozen lakes beautiful but potentially hazardous if not treated with caution. #explorepage #viralvideo

We will update when we know more 🥺 backstory ::: We were having a normal morning, playing with the babies, cleaning, etc, and Kay started feeling dizzy. She sat down and it got worse. Soon she had a 105° temperature and felt so unwell. Soon we decided to go to the emergency room. I called family to watch the babies and we drove there. They let us skip the line because they worried that Kay might have sepsis. They started running tests and found that she had pneumonia and was not doing well. They wanted her to stay the night, so I went back and helped put the babies down and went back to advocate for Kay. She isn’t recovering yet, so we are doing IV antibiotics and fluids for now and are waiting to see if that helps. 🥺

Cement San Sebastian Cheesecake Wet concrete Burnt Basque Cheesecake Perfect recipe 1kg Cream Cheese 320 grams Sugar 6 large Eggs 30 grams Fresh Lemon Juice 15 grams Vanilla Extract 5 grams Sea Salt 500 grams Heavy whipping cream 30 grams All Purpose Flour 150 grams black sesame paste Room temperature cream cheese mix with sugar. After well blend mix in the eggs one by one. Add the lemon juice, salt, vanilla extract, flour and black tahini and mix well. Then add the cream and fold in. Don’t Mix with blender. With spoon or spatula. Pour the well blend mixture into a 9 by 4 cake pan after placing the parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 450F. Bake until the top is burnt. Cookie 101: Honest tips and tricks from a home baker🫶🏻 ✨BUTTER TEMPERATURE MATTERS MORE THAN YOU THINK: • Cold butter cubes → thick, chunky, bakery-style cookies • Soft or melted butter → thinner, flatter cookies Your butter choice literally decides the texture before baking even starts. ✨FROZEN VS ROOM TEMPERATURE DOUGH BALLS: • Frozen cookie dough balls → thick, puffy, less spread • Room temperature dough balls → thinner, more spread If you love chunky cookies, freezing is your best friend. ✨TO CHILL OR NOT TO CHILL? •Want thinner cookies? You can bake the dough right away but chilling for at least 2–3 hours still improves flavor • Want thick cookies? Chill first, then freeze before baking. That’s the real secret to height and structure. Chilling develops flavour. Freezing controls spread. ✨BAKING IS WHERE MOST MISTAKES HAPPEN: You can follow a recipe perfectly… and still mess up at the baking stage. Most home bakers: Overbake Or panic and underbake. I personally don’t walk away from the oven. I bake at 165–175°C (fan oven) until: • The edges are golden brown • The center still looks slightly soft That soft center is exactly what you want. ✨SOFT CENTER DOESN’T MEAN UNDERCOOKED: •Cookies continue baking on the tray after you remove them. •They need about 30 minutes to fully set. •If your cookies are already hard in the center when you take them out, they’re overbaked and they’ll become even firmer once cooled. ✨DON’T OVERMIX: •Once flour goes in, mix just until combined. Overmixing develops too much gluten and makes cookies tough instead of tender. ✨FOR THAT BAKERY LOOK: • Gently bang the tray while cookies are still hot for crinkly tops. • Reshape immediately using a large round cookie cutter while they’re still soft. Yes, you can fix uneven cookies. Always😉 ✨MY PERSONAL FAVORITE TRICK: Add extra chocolate chips/chunks on top immediately after baking while the cookies are still hot. Step 1: He removed his heavy seal-skin gloves and used the warmth of his bare hands to melt the edges of the ice. Step 2: He poured lukewarm water from his thermos around the swan’s trapped wings. Step 3: Slowly, the ice cracked. With a gentle "shhh," Yamato wrapped the shivering bird in his own wool scarf. He carried the swan back to his family’s sod house, where the smell of cedar smoke filled the air.
