Hair curler thingies that make me look a bit like Lady Catherine de Bourgh ✅ Frownie Patch (jury’s still out) ✅ Mouth tape ✅ Red light glasses before bed ✅ Castor oil pack that you can’t see ✅ Sanity ❇️💁🏻‍♀️ but in all seriousness, I actually super love and look forward to my nighttime routine. It’s not real complicated, but it’s just a nice five or 10 minutes where I get to feel a bit pampered and cared for. I rotate in dry brushing or gua sha, a face mask, just a lil som’m som’m.

Little Lady Mya 🩷 Just after Christmas last year, Mya’s mum noticed a tiny circle of hair missing. At first, it didn’t seem like much- but in just a short time, that small patch grew, and Mya lost all of her hair. Her beautiful long locks were gone, along with her eyebrows and eyelashes.😢 She’s only a six year old little girl, yet she’s faced Alopecia with so much bravery 🩷 Mya would love nothing more than for her beautiful hair to grow back, but she also understands that might not happen. For now, having a beautiful wig made especially for her will make the world of difference, helping her feel more like herself again. Mya even used her experience to educate her classmates about Alopecia and we honestly couldn’t be more proud of her. Each custom-made wig costs @littleladylocks £500 to create, and they can only continue this work with the kindness and support of the public💕 If you can, please consider donating to @littleladylocks so they can continue helping little girls like Mya. The other day a lady came into the store wearing a check blazer with patches all over it. There was a patch on the front of her blazer that stopped me dead in my tracks. Five minutes before she walked in I said a silent prayer to my grandfather and told him I know you hear me. The patch on the customers blazer was the logo of my grandfathers company. I’ve gotten signs Im moving in the right direction from him all year. This is Rosalind’s second Halloween with us. While we love having extra pumpkins around in October, we think that it is high time that this sassy lady finds her permanent patch. Rosalind is an exceptionally orange beauty who loves lounging on soft piles of blankets and smacking down bugs. Her fur is buttery soft and she prowls around like a golden tigress. Her desire for pets and affection can run into conflict with some baggage from her past — she has gone from getting nervous whenever a hand approaches to accepting head and back pets and recently even neck stitches and massages like a breeze. She has also relaxed enough to nudge her foster parent after she wakes up every morning with gentle, repeated rubs and purrs, leaning on her side and displaying her inner affection. Rosalind has got both muscle and brains, loves playing with ribbons, is starting to learn tricks for treats, and is not shy at all when meeting new people. She would be ideal for someone looking for a cool roommate (or work-from-home supervisor) who doesn’t need constant attention, but will be super grateful for a sofa to lounge on, some play time to practice her boxing moves, and a little bit of patience to build a trusting bond which can be greatly accelerated by bribing. TWO YEARS officially running @mynonnalife as a business… I never could have thought that sharing photos of my veggie patch (first as @sunsetwatchpermaculture - if you’ve been around since then!) before rebranding as My Nonna Life to encompass ALL my “old lady” hobbies - growing food, preserving food, cooking from scratch, traditional skills, crafting, entertaining - would lead to what it is today! I’ve facilitated more than 40 events - cooking classes, preserving workshops, demonstrations, talks, conferences, agricultural shows, festivals, podcasts, and even a TV segment - in these last two years, all whilst working a regular job and building a house. I’ve put every bit of free time into learning more, creating more, recipe development and workshop writing for you to benefit from, so that your journey in this space is easy and rewarding and inspires you to do and learn more and embrace your own inner Nonna! Every like, every comment, every DM, every person that comes to an event, every person that comes to MULTIPLE events, everyone that has supported me and paid to come to events I’ve hosted, has offered me opportunities and believed in me - I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m truly so grateful - there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes, so much work and early mornings and late nights but it’s all so worth it to receive the thanks I get, the genuine appreciation, feeling as though I am genuinely making a difference - it warms my heart. To think that once upon a time I truly felt like an oddity, that I never fit in because of my “old lady hobbies” to now being able to carve out a career for myself in this space - and it’s thanks to you.
