_LPLUS when I was ripping it apart I found a $10 note in the pocket so this project was basically free!!
This took around 4 hours to upcycle, I didn't use any template or pattern, just entirely winged it with a bunch of pins and a pair of scissors lol! The fit is sooo nice, (perks of making your own clothes is you can tailor them to your own odd measurements!) and I'm very happy with it 🤭
I feel like blouses have been coming back into the style cycle lately, though I've loved them since forever 🫶🏼 This is a great cheap way to make some cutesie new additions to your wadrobe if you're a sewing person! I think I might go and find another shirt in a lighter colour to do this again, but possibly with some additions like lace and cute buttons 👀

lets draft a summer top together: you start bei shifting the front darf towards the armhole. This creates a princess seam. Then you mark where the neckline should start (it’s below bust point/ around underbust area). Draw the neckline. For the halter part, measure the neckline of the back. You need to add that length to the front neckline to create a halter strap. Add about 2cm so you have an overlap for the closure. Draw the armhole starting from the halter strap going toward front side seam. Draw the underbust line. Determine the length. Cut everything out and remove the dart of the bodice by taping that part together. For the back, measure the side seam length of the front and mark that at the side seam of the back. Make straight lines for top end and bottom end. Also remove the dart by taping the pieces together. I assume there is a zipper in the side seam or in the Center back. The front buttons are for decorative purposes only.
