Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also denied the claim, saying "the only side that targets civilians is Iran."
An in depth New York Times investigation claims that the school was likely struck during a US attack on a nearby Iranian military facility, raising serious questions about Trump’s dismissal of responsibility.
Trump also deflected Iranian accusations that the US struck a desalination plant, and instead decided to make claims on Iranian atrocities.

“Several large diameter holes/craters are seen on the top of a ridge over the underground complex. A layer of grey-blue ash caused by the airstrikes is seen across a large swath of the area,” Maxar Technologies said.
“Additionally, several of the tunnel entrances that lead into the underground facility are blocked with dirt following the airstrikes.”

TRUS President Donald Trump says the US is in charge of Venezuela, and could carry out a similar military operation in the neighbouring country of Colombia.
Since the US military captured Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro and his wife and flew them both to the US on the weekend, former Venezuelan vice president Delcy Rodriguez has been named interim president by the country’s high court.
While speaking to reporters on board Air Force One, Donald Trump hinted Colombia might be the US's next target, and also said Cuba was "ready to fall".
Cuba's government has said 32 members of its armed forces and intelligence agencies, who were in Venezuela, were killed during the US strikes on the country, while US media is reporting that senior officials in Venezuela, speaking anonymously, say dozens of Venezuelans were killed in the US attack.
