EXWhen the RAM (Random Access Memory) is removed from a running laptop, the screen goes black because the computer loses access to a critical component it needs to operate.
RAM is like the computer’s short-term memory. It stores the data and instructions that the processor is actively using or needs next.
Without RAM, the processor has nowhere to quickly read or write essential information, so it cannot perform any tasks including updating what’s displayed on the screen.
Once the RAM is removed, the laptop instantly loses its ability to keep running programs and maintain communication with the rest of the hardware.
The entire system either freezes or abruptly crashes since it can’t process any information. At that point, the system simply stops and the screen goes black because the signals telling it what to display are no longer being generated.
Essentially, taking out the RAM in a running laptop is like suddenly erasing all the contents of a chalkboard during a complicated lesson.
The teacher (CPU) has no notes left, the audience (the screen and other components) receives nothing new, and everything just stops working.
