LII braved the crowds today to visit the Manhattan vintage show! And I’m so glad I did, special thank you to my anonymous friend that gave me a free ticket. @thevintageshow
👛If you’ve never been before, the show is basically a whole room filled with lots of different vendors!
👛Each vendor may specialize in something specific, but many vendors have lots of different decades, and everything from ready to wear, to accessories.
👛Because there are so many different different vendors, there are so many different prices ! I saw prices that started at $25 that went up to 4000 so just be sure to check pricing and if you’re not sure you can always ask!
👛If you’re on a budget, my favorite thing to look at as accessories!
👛If you want to try something on, just make sure to ask because some people have special policies about vintage items.

HIWhat does every home need in my opinion? A hint of vintage of course! Just an element here and there to add character and individuality. It’s the same with my wardrobe. You know that I love a quality frock, but an outfit feels even better when there’s something well loved, pre-loved or handed down added in. One day I’ll start writing my Substack which is called ‘A Hint Of Vintage’ to talk about how I combine my love of old and new throughout every aspect of my life. I’ve had it sitting there for about 2 years and have so many ideas to get down but life keeps getting in the way!
If you’d like to see my writing elsewhere then I write a monthly column called ‘The Village Noticeboard’ for @countrylivinguk and I’ve written three books; ‘Hill House Living’ which is all about living life joyfully through the seasons with tips on vintage hunting, some creative diy projects and recipes. Then I have two cosy crime novels set around an English Village called ‘Pudding Corner’ - you’ll find the link for ‘The Potting Shed Murder’ and ‘The Body in the Kitchen Garden’ in my bio.
It’s safe to say that writing is and always will be a passion of mine - along with adding just ‘A Hint Of Vintage’ to my life! Happy Thursday! 💕
