I invite you to take 5 slow, deep breaths, unclench your jaw, relax your shoulders, set down your phone, make a cup of tea, journal about what hurts or delights, talk about what’s hard with someone you trust. Take a walk outside if you can, listen to music that uplifts you, take a nap on the couch, read a book, do less and feel more.
And if you’re having a wonderful, easy time right now, I’m so happy for you! But for those of us who tend to struggle a little bit extra this time of year, I hope this video feels like a warm hug and a reminder that maybe things are going to be ok, even if they weren’t what you’d hoped, even if you’re struggling.
These feelings won’t last forever, and a New Year is just around the corner! The days are only getting brighter from here.

THJanuary is exhausting… right!!.
We’re meant to be wintering. Hibernating. Staying warm. Moving slowly. Yet we’re told to reset our lives, start new routines and become a brand new version of ourselves… immediately. No wonder we’re shattered….
If you’re feeling a bit deflated just know it’s not failure, it’s winter. ❄️
Here are 3 small, supportive steps that actually work, trust me, I love them!
1️⃣ Clear mental clutter first ✨ allocated 10/20 mins a day to clear your inbox, old notes on your phone or on a pad. Delete, action, or file.
2️⃣ Pick one surface you use daily ✨ the bedside table, kitchen counter, your desk. Clear it, wipe it, put back only what you use and love!
3️⃣ Create a “not for now” box ✨ anything you’re unsure about goes here (obv the right size for your space) Big decisions can wait until energy returns.
Small steps ok!

MIWINTER By date it may be a New Year but by all other tangible measures it is simply the dark, cold middle of winter. The trees are bare. The earth is hard. Everything is happening underground. Quietly. Without fanfare. Because that’s the essence of wintering. Processing. Readying. Grounding.
March is the time for prep. April when intention turns into action. So why the hurry for goal-setting and vision boarding now? Nature doesn’t hurry and look what she achieves!
However, it’s not about doing nothing in January. Now is the moment to take stock. What worked last year? What didn’t? What drained your energy and how can you prevent it this year? Acknowledge what ‘did’ work too. Don’t start the year punishing yourself. Start from gratitude: who showed up for you? Send them a thank you note (proper, written, not just a text). Have the difficult conversations. Take the decisions that need closing. Do your accounts (without shame, it’s just data): what did you spend? Overspend? Save? How will you budget this year?
In short… Reflect. Rest. Recalibrate. The best planning happens after that, and it takes a few hours or a weekend. Whereas winging it, or reactive planning, can waste months.
