Follow (us) @InsideHistory to learn something NEW everyday 🧠💫 Dolphin sound frequencies, particularly their ultrasonic echolocation clicks ranging from about 2,000 Hz up to 100,000 Hz, are believed to have potential therapeutic effects for children with cerebral palsy! These high-frequency sounds can create gentle vibrations that may influence brain activity by promoting relaxation and improving neural synchronization between brain hemispheres. This process, similar to vibroacoustic therapy, might help reduce muscle stiffness and enhance motor control. Additionally, dolphin-assisted therapy combines these sound frequencies with tactile and emotional stimulation, which can reduce anxiety and increase engagement in rehabilitation. #wildlife #dolphins #history #reels #science

For the first time ever, research recreates what dolphins see with sound. The sound of a dolphin's echolocation of a submerged man created an incredible cymatic image of that same submerged man. Researchers John Stuart Reid and Jack Kassewitz from SpeakDolphin found that the sound of dolphin echolocation held the information for a cymatic imprint of the submerged diver. Cymatics is the study of how sound vibrations influence matter. This field was pioneered by researchers like Hans Jenning, who used metal plates to explore how sound created reproducible patterns when exposed to music. Incredibly, Stuart found that any part of the echolocation cone of vibratory information held the entire image of the submerged man. This 2D image was produced by CymaScope, a device that records a dolphin’s echolocation signals and turns them into a visual image that shows us how dolphins see. In this image, the dolphin sees a human diver. Dolphins can see, but they also have a unique ability to distinguish various objects under water by using echolocation. They do this using a series of clicks which bounce off the object, giving them a sense of where the object is and its general shape. To be clear, more or less the same technique used by the Sonar technology used in military ships. The researchers at SpeakDolphin created the image of what a dolphin sees using this method. Getting the image, a ghostly shape of a human, was a process that involved a few steps. “When a dolphin scans an object with its high frequency sound beam, each short click captures a still image, similar to a camera taking photographs,” said John Reid, the inventor of the technology used, called CymaScope. “Each dolphin click is a pulse of pure sound that becomes modulated by the shape of the object.”

Can you hear those sharp clicking sounds? Bottlenose dolphins use echolocation by sending rapid, high-frequency pulses that bounce off objects like fish and the sandy seafloor, helping them create a detailed acoustic map of their surroundings. In the Bahamas, they use this skill to crater feed, locating fish buried beneath the sand and diving nose-first to flush them out. The circular craters they leave behind linger for hours, like underwater footprints. It’s a clever technique, passed down through generations, that showcases how dolphins adapt their environments and rely on complex social learning to thrive in the wild. Did you know whales and dolphins don’t have external ears like us? Instead, they hear through special structures in their jawbones! Using clicks and whistles called echolocation, they send out sound waves and interpret the echoes to navigate, hunt, and communicate underwater. #258STEMFacts #STEMinASL #MarineScience #Echolocation

🐬👀 Dolphins don’t just see with their eyes — they see with sound. Researchers attached soft suction-cup eye covers to test whether dolphins could still recognize shapes underwater. The covers were painless, and the dolphins could remove them anytime. But here’s the stunning part — they succeeded. Using only echolocation clicks, dolphins could “picture” 3D shapes and even tell metal from plastic. Their sonar is so precise, they can map their surroundings with sound alone. 💬 Did you know dolphins could do this? 👉 Follow for more mind-blowing animal intelligence stories. 📌 Please check the link in BIO for my hand-picked gear & gifts for animal lovers.

The Dolphin Codex is a living library of light, added to by any dolphin that has ever lived, across all time, dimension, space and reality. 🐬🩵 Imagine that every experience, and all wisdom of the dolphins has gone into one pool of liquid light, which can be sipped from. 💦 You can call upon it, and a dolphin will administer to you what you need based on what The Dolphin Codex sees when it scans you. Kind of like a dolphin’s echolocation, and their ability to see through you with sound. And get a total picture of something. 🐬 The Dolphin Codex reads you… 🐬 Scans you… 🐬 And then consults its library and brings forth whatever medicine, wisdom, or frequency would best serve you. It’s truly magical. 🐬🩵 I named our 5 month journey starting in May The Dolphin Codex, because we’ll be working deeply with this field. Every month we’ll dip into The Dolphin Codex in a live zoom call, and you’ll be receiving whatever you need from this dolphin library. 🌊 This is an opportunity to transform with the dolphins. 🌊 Receiving whatever medicine you need from them, in life changing ways. I’m so excited!!! Comment WOW to learn more about this journey! We start May 7th 🩵🐬🧬
