Dolphin sound frequencies, particularly their ultrasonic echolocation clicks ranging from about 2,000 Hz up to 100,000 Hz, are believed to have potential therapeutic effects for children with cerebral palsy! These high-frequency sounds can create gentle vibrations that may influence brain activity by promoting relaxation and improving neural synchronization between brain hemispheres.
This process, similar to vibroacoustic therapy, might help reduce muscle stiffness and enhance motor control. Additionally, dolphin-assisted therapy combines these sound frequencies with tactile and emotional stimulation, which can reduce anxiety and increase engagement in rehabilitation.

DRFor the first time ever, research recreates what dolphins see with sound.
The sound of a dolphin's echolocation of a submerged man created an incredible cymatic image of that same submerged man.
Researchers John Stuart Reid and Jack Kassewitz from SpeakDolphin found that the sound of dolphin echolocation held the information for a cymatic imprint of the submerged diver.
Cymatics is the study of how sound vibrations influence matter.
This field was pioneered by researchers like Hans Jenning, who used metal plates to explore how sound created reproducible patterns when exposed to music.
Incredibly, Stuart found that any part of the echolocation cone of vibratory information held the entire image of the submerged man.
Life on Earth is powered by light, sound and vibration on the backdrop of water.

VIThis 2D image was produced by CymaScope, a device that records a dolphin’s echolocation signals and turns them into a visual image that shows us how dolphins see. In this image, the dolphin sees a human diver.
Dolphins can see, but they also have a unique ability to distinguish various objects under water by using echolocation. They do this using a series of clicks which bounce off the object, giving them a sense of where the object is and its general shape.
To be clear, more or less the same technique used by the Sonar technology used in military ships.
The researchers at SpeakDolphin created the image of what a dolphin sees using this method. Getting the image, a ghostly shape of a human, was a process that involved a few steps.
“When a dolphin scans an object with its high frequency sound beam, each short click captures a still image, similar to a camera taking photographs,” said John Reid, the inventor of the technology used, called CymaScope. “Each dolphin click is a pulse of pure sound that becomes modulated by the shape of the object.”
